We lose ALOT of talent after this year.

Not really. Not compared to most years. We lose Daniels, which is huge. We lose Nabers, and maybe Brian Thomas. Other than that we don't lose much on offense. Diggs, sure, but I expect to replace him with a much better back. Maybe Dellinger, who is an excellent lineman, but we return four absolute studs on the line. So offense is going to be talented, and will be very good if we get the QB figured out.

On defense, who cares who we lose? The only bona fide studs are returning.

If the punter doesn't leave we should throw him out.

You’re still going to return Hilton, Anderson, Taylor and you have young talent like Sampson, Brown and Parker. I think next years offense will be relied upon the RBs more than this year, with an even more veteran OL and some stud RBs

He's been a D1 HC for a helluva long time and hasn't done so yet...not sure why you're so confident in him!

His recruiting and in game decisions does not back up this claim

Not if we lose another opener against USC, then it is the same thing all over again. He has got to beat USC to set the tone for a great year in 24'.

THEY'RE BETTER BECAUSE THEY PLAY SOME SEMBLENCE OF DEFENSE.. IF YOU NOTICE HIS OTHER TEAMS THEY ALL GOT BETTER IN YEAR 2 THATS NOT THE CASE HERE WEVE GOTTEN WORSE...I EXPECTED FSU TO BE BETTER IN GAME ONE BUT I EXPECTED LSU TO BE BETTER TOO AND THEY WERENT...2 YEARS IN A ROW BK DOESNT HAVE HIS TEAM READY TO PLAY A GAME

The defense is so bad that I don’t see how it makes enough improvement for next year to be a playoff team. Offensively they lose their top two players and maybe 3

Ya. This is not Les Miles taking over after Saban set him up for success.

This is BK taking over after Coach O basically neglected all aspects of the team after winning a championship.

It’s not just the roster that was in shambles when BK took the job. It was the culture of the team as a whole. LSU was slipping down a very slippery slope, and the thing is BK knew this and STILL took the job.

A lot of people don’t see your point that it is going to take some time, but it’s pretty obvious to me that you’re right. Unfortunately for us fans, culture takes time to build.. especially when it was tore down first.

A construction job always presents more obstacles when you have to perform demolition before the build can start. This is similar in that the staff has had to deconstruct all the bad habits and bad work practices this team had developed under Coach O.
Good news is I think the demo is over with and the building has begun.

I don’t think people fully realize the complete shitshow he took over.

We overachieved in year one, it's just the truth

Everyone keeps saying this but it just isn't true. If we simply made one more stop in the Ole Miss game and made half-time adjustments for the Bama game, LSU would now be sitting with 1 loss and in playoff contention.

In all actuality, we'd be on pace to improve from last season.

Having a competent DC this season would have us in a position to show and prove how last season wasn't an "overachievement".

You can throw all the year 3 data from the past out. NIL and the transfer portal have radically changed everything.

Ugh… that’s exactly why I think we will be in the playoff. Even a worse case scenario, we’re probably still in with 3 losses. Definitely in with 2 losses

You don't think the school has anything to do with that? Reality is, there are only a handful of programs that realistically CAN win a national title. You'll never win a national title at an overwhelming majority of the schools in college football.

Have you considered that Florida State is just better than LSU this year?
