Frankly, I am amazed that anyone thought they could just tell the denizens of tigerdroppings to do something and not expect blow back. I am certain that there will be some people at the game that boo army that otherwise wouldn't just because someone told them not to. And the more people bring it up, the more likely it is to happen. The answer to whether West Point cadets are considered active duty is not clear-cut. Some sources say that cadets are not active duty until they graduate12, while others say that cadets are active duty with the rank of cadet and the first duty station is West Point3. Some cadets are also admitted from the active duty enlisted ranks4. However, even if a cadet drops out before graduation, he or she may still be considered a veteran.
