Well Chavis' D would be perfect for such a situation

I agree with you.

Defense just went from a strength next year to an unknown.....The good news is a new DC won't drastically change things in one year. It will take a few years to implement complete change. Hopefully Hunter and Alexander stay. If so, we might still be alright. New DC combined with young players though??????

This is real upsetting to me though, because next year I thought we were primed for a serious run.

So upset with Chavis even though I don't have any of the specifics.

The head coach at youngstown state gave up about 2 fewer points/game.

but you do go when a tax free state throws an additional 400 grand at you and you don't have a complete sh@t show of an offense to deal with on a weekly basis..

get over it. it's business. thank the guy for his good years and move on.

p.s. i do appreciate what the man did and i said thank you.

p.p.s. i also trust lm's decision to let him go. i have been extremely bothered by the 7 last minute losses. i want to try something new.

i'm sure chavis is appreciative of what les and lsu let him accomplish over the last few years, but the soft defenses and 3rd and chavis can be changed.

our o had to come back sooooo many times b/c the d left the door open.

hey, but just my opinion!

No need to thank him. He was thanked handsomely.

How could this have been a surprise to Alleva, Miles or TAF? No way they did not see this coming because Mr. Chavis did not sign his offer. Waiting to let it simmer until now may not have been the best thing, but maybe Mr. Chavis hoped that LSU would give him a better pay raise.

Given the absolute garbage that has been this team the last few years (relative to being a top flight program), I cannot blame them for not matching. Good luck Chief. Gig 'em.

Word. This DC everyone is dissing kept this team from sinking. Not a good day in Tigerland....

Horse shite. With all of the talent we recruit on that side of the ball there are plenty of coaches who could get similar results.

Surely you're kidding. Grantham consistently underachieved at UGA, given the incredible talent he had there.
