That call is 100% about Javonte Smart
It's not good from a PR standpoint, but nothing in any of the calls I've read about say anything specifically that is a violation.
"offers" and "getting him what he needs" are not violations without additional evidence that has yet to be presented.
While it does look bad, nothing presented so far would mean "he's done"

If anyone can pull a Clay Davis, it is Will Wade.

The offer was to play with the best and in his home city. Boom

I've suspected for a while the reason there is a hesitancy to give Wade credit for the LSU turnaround and COTY as well as giving LSU it's due is because the national media is waiting to see how this plays out. Hopefully there is no "there, there" and Wade and LSU can move on
—-LSU BB has risen from the ashes and is challenging the status quo, so they must be knocked back down
Reminds me of when SMU challenged the big boys in football. TAMU and UT turned SMU in for doing what they had been doing for decades, but SMU got the death penalty

Admit nothing. Deny everything. Develop severe amnesia for fed court.

Did you not see the part about taking care of his mom?

Deny it all.
Can they prove beyond a reasonable doubt? No.

No idea, because the only saving grace for us and wade will be if this is way fake news or the ncaa can’t find a paper trail.
If the article is factual, it’s obvious Wade is cheating, regardless of the proof they have and what other schools are doing too.

Doesn't seem like much to me if you're reading that article only. There would have to be more.

ESPN, citing court records, previously reported that Dawkins had “at least three calls with a cellphone number belonging to LSU coach Will Wade, each of which occurred between June 19, 2017, and June 30, 2017.” Smart announced his commitment to LSU via Twitter on June 30, 2017.
Circumstantial.

I don’t think the NCAA carries the same burden of proof as a criminal trial

We are going to get absolutely hammered by the NCAA if what’s in the article is factual

if the NCAA can overlook outrageous academic fraud at a supposed "Public Ivy" like North Carolina, I don't know how they can penalize LSU for this.
Posted on 3/7/19 at 12:24 pm to The Pirate King
Stop melting. If you read the article there is nothing there to provide evidence. Now the ncaa can go looking. But if wade is smart, and we assume he is, he didnt leave a paper trail

It’s weird that the last 2 articles have been released the day after a big win...
