Yeah I just heard from someone that there was an incident on Friday that led to this.
Hopefully it gets settled behind the scenes if that’s true.

Is “undisclosed illness” here word play for something like “lack of team-play” or something?
He didn’t mention the doctors evaluating him? Again, is that a lie, or a play on words perhaps?(Dr. Wade)

No college player should prioritize the NBA when your team is the front runner in your conference and in the hunt for a deep tourney run. It's unfortunate that he gets so much bad advice. This post was edited on 2/25/19 at 8:16 pm

Protect him from what? He didn't play. It makes no difference if anyone knows why. If it's a disciplinary thing, then Wade has never shown a problem of letting that be known with other players, even if he didn't specify the exact reason.
And if it's a personal matter for Tremont, then he would have said personal matter, and left it at that. I don't see anything Wade would be protecting him from.

Does that workout include growing 5-6 inches? Because other that that, no workout is going to improve his draft stock. He leads the team in minutes played (or did until Mays played all 45 on Saturday) and points. He controls the offense. He's on a team that is about to be in the national spotlight (ask Tyrus Thomas what a big NCAA Tournament performance can do for your stock)

10 years from now one of the players on this basketball team will have their own radio show in Baton Rouge. He'll be asked every day whether Waters was really sick back in February of 2019. It will be a bigger deal than the fight in the locker room for the 2011 BCS title game. I hope everyone is prepared to talk about this for the rest of their LSU lives

I think if Wade was lying about it, he would say as little as possible. Yet, this morning on the radio, I heard him say they gave him an IV on Friday night hoping that would help, but he said that didn't even work. He also mentioned several times how they had to flip the gameplan almost overnight. If he knew he was going to bench Waters, nothing would have to be done at the last minute. He called it crazy talk and said "never" in reference to benching him over a rift.

Waters has clearly prioritized the NBA all year. The fancy or high risk passes. I did not see anything really bad against Florida until. Those last couple of long three point shots.
At thei point Smart is better for the team anyway.
Coach Wade publicly throwing him under the bus did not help. Pulling him after three minutes against Florida should not be happening this time of year.

So Friday night our family walks into Lit Pizza on Burbank and we see Tramont sitting outside with some lady friends just eating and hanging out for about an hour. We eat our dinner and one of my kids ask why is he not with the team tonight. Fast forward to Saturday morning and we hear about his absence as we walk into PMAC and it is reported that he has an illness. No way is the kid sick, I think something is up. If you are a little under the weather you would at least be with the team and not hanging out at a local
