Team sport here fellas, sometimes the best player for a position is determined by his teammates strengths and weaknesses. In this case it is very apparent to most that a incoming freshman O-Lineman starting at left tackle is very telling of this teams needs. We need a QB that has wheels not due to his strength but the weakness of the team.

It is sad to see players leave but it is a team and coach will do what is best for the team. I see it all the time in baseball where someone is a better position player but the short dude with no wheels needs to be the catcher and not the third baseman for example. In this case the QB position race was determined a while back based on the current roster IMO.

Daniels has a terrible throwing motion and only threw 10 TD’s against 10 interceptions in a league not known for defense.

The fact that they’re having to spend a large amount of time on his footwork at this stage of his career is concerning.

Wasn't impressed by his spring game,

it was 1 hand touch on the qb, Not exactly going to highlight a mobile qb's strengths.

I was hoping this would be the year for Brennan, but mainly just because I liked what I saw in his ability during those three games. I was confident he could lead this group.

That said, if Daniels beat him out I’m 100% on board. To me, it’s only positive if one of the other guys jumped him (unless Brennan truly regressed post-injury).

I’m riding with Daniels and look forward to the first time he turns a busted play into a 20-yard scramble.

Eh. Maybe. Maybe too he just realized it's not in the cards for him here. I had high hopes, and I appreciate him sticking around. He's had some bad luck - poor player development, being stuck behind tGOAT, and maybe being a little too lazy to put forth the effort, who knows. But I wish him well.
Maybe, things worked out just fine for Brennan and Kelly.
Brennan likely figured football wasn't his future, so he entered the portal thinking he'd maybe get a year at some lower-tier program, then move on to real life.

Kelly talks to him, and convinces him to stay. Kelly gets:
an extra camp arm, to better split up the reps.
A guy going into his 6th camp, could probably run those drills better than most grad assistants.
Hey, 2 years experience with Burrow and a year with Etling... who knows what he could pass along to the QBs and WRs etc.

Brennan got:
a fair crack at the job, or at least the chance to go out where he started.
Maybe more important long-term, he got an NIL deal from Walk Ons, which is a franchise in the field he likely enters (restaurant business). You might scoff at that as unimportant, but he's got more connections now than he did a year ago.

He also just arrived and had little knowledge of the offense.

It’s a new system for everyone not just Daniels.

Why because you think you know more than the coaches? Your favorite Qb didn't make the cut today? Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

I think what he is saying is Daniels has always been the guy.
No matter what Nuss does or Brennan tried to do Daniels would always be the starter unless he just shite the bed.
He is BK guy. BK talked him into coming here not for a backup role but to be the starter.
Alot of people view it as Nuss and Brennan never got a fair chance at starting because Daniels was always going to start no matter what.

That is why he is saying he is losing interest.
It was evident from early on Jayden was their guy. With working on his footwork to his mechanics.

Doubt nuss transfers. He most likely will get snaps this yr.

He would be going into 2023 with a great chance to start.

The reason he wouldn't transfer now is that he played that card last year (redshirt).

It's why doing backing out of the bowl game that last year didn't really buy him anything. He could have always redshirted this year if things didn't go as he had hoped.

Even if he 100% knows he won't be at LSU next year, it still behooves him to stay at LSU and hopefully get some playing to to showcase his ability.

I bet the myles paperwork will not be official. this is all a big muse to hide the start vs Noles, pregame Brennan comes running out doesn't trip and wins us the bourbon bowl.

Wow. So again, it all comes back down to you thinking one QB is better than the others and you’re mad the coaching staff seems to disagree.

Well from day 1 Brennan was taking 2nd team snaps.
On day 3 Nuss and JD were taking first team snaps then when media left you had people saying JD took most or all first tram reps.
That was on 3rd day.

MB got first team reps as recently as a week ago

And Nuss has been getting a huge workload in the snaps the entire time as well. Tell me why we would give snaps to two players you claim had no real shot at the job at any point during fall camp?

You want it one way, but it’s the other way.

My point is JD was always gonna be the starter.
The competition was a facade so Nuss would not transfer this year anyway and leave us with possibly Brennan and Howard as the backups

We are in trouble. One read, run, inaccurate pass on 3rd down is the Les Miles offense prior to Jarrett Lee. Then it was just run. Nothing I have seen from that guy Daniels tells me he can beat UGA or Bama.
