Cherry pick however you want I really don't care who starts, I just think Nuss is more the complete package and Daniels will get sacked alot trying to run around and make plays. A QB who can run is a good thing when you need it but it don't need to be his best attribute.

I keep seeing people say this, but based on what? The few times we've seen Nuss in a legit game situation lets call it like it is, he wasn't good. So you're making this statement based off an unfound opinion.

If we as a fan base are putting this much faith in Brian Kelly and his staff, put the faith in them that they picked the better QB for this team, right now.

He should play baseball too. You just know he has a lot of travel ball experience.

I’m gonna trust BK and Denbrock until they prove otherwise. They’ve been headline coaches in college football and know what they’re looking for. If they think Daniels gives the team the best chance to win, you ride with him.

I just wish, for one fricking second, you idiots on the rant would take a step back and look at the bigger picture

Seriously, y’all need an ego check. Imagine thinking you know more than Brian Kelly. The man dedicated his life to studying, recruiting, training, preparing, and perfecting football. You guys dedicated your life to posting on the internet…..

What in gods name leads you to believe that you know more than he and his staff do? Seriously… think about it!

Y’all use bits and pieces of what the media puts out which is about 3% of the total amount of work that goes on and y’all try to shoehorn stereotypes and generalizations on these QBs thinking y’all know what you’re talking about

Spoiler alert:

None of y’all have a clue. Sorry to say that. I know some of y’all’s egos won’t be able to handle it but it is what it is

The adults are in charge now. Sit back and enjoy the show. They’ll put us in the best position to win games, despite your shitty opinions

So burke985, and anyone else bitching and crying about Daniels being named the starter, I’ll just sum it up with one question:

Do y’all know more about football than Coach Brian Kelly?

Thanks in advance

Coach BK has forgotten more about football than I'll ever know, so I'll trust his judgement in picking the starter.

Who has the most starts as a QB? Who has the best mobility behind the center as a multiple threat to defenses? Daniels. No brainer.

Why are people downvoting

LSU and has a less than stellar history with dual threat QB's, and their fans have not forgotten.

However, we also trust BK and both his evaluations and decision making. Also, it's downvotes for presumed speculation.

He's perfected it so much he's never won anything of signfigance, even ogre put together a National Title team once. BK will have to prove himself over again in the SEC we will see what kind of coach he really is when he enters the Gauntlet.

It’s crazy how people are already shitting on Daniels and he hasn’t taken one official snap as a Tiger. Give him the benefit of the doubt atleast man, esp if our 100m dollar coach has allegedly chosen him.

It's laughable how we as a a fanbase go from "We finally have a competent coach" to "boo hoo I'm losing interest now because one QB was selected over the others" or "6-6"

We either have a competent coach who knows how to evaluate players and lead them, or we don't. If you think BK is good, trust he can make the best decision.

Meh.... Kinda hard to get excited about a QB that threw for 10 TD's and 10 picks in the PAC 12. He's unproven and will be behind an unproven OL.

How ab his 6 rushing TDs last year?

Or his freshman season when he threw for 17/2 with 3 rTDs?

Or his COVID soph. season- 5/1 & 4 more rTDs?

Why cherry pick 10/10? You realize he had jack shite for talent around him last year and Herms program was a dumpster fire.. right?

I agree He’s shown more than he did last year.

But the stats from 2021 and his spring game didn’t do him any PR favors.

I trust Kelly.

I believe the statement goes like this, "what have you done for me lately." I was looking at last years stats. What's wrong with that?

Is it, though?

Most people have formed an opinion likely without watching any of his games at ASU. They see “10/10” and make assumptions without any context whatsoever and completely discounting his 1st 2 seasons. They hear “dual threat” and do the same.

If you are invoking the names of Jefferson, Jennings, and Harris to shite on Daniels, you are outing yourself as having not watched any of Daniels. Granted, he was a terrible passer in our spring game (he had, what, 9 of them total?), but he is absolutely electric with the ball in his hands and could run circles around any of our previous dual threat guys. He can flip the field on a perfectly defensed play with his feet. I think he can run an up tempo offense with a lot of RPOs, some read options, and some short and intermediate throws to our skill guys.

People have misinterpreted a bit what Denbrock said about getting the ball into the playmakers hands. Yes, he wants that, but he want to get the ball out and to them quick, mostly less than 20 yards from the LOS. They’re not gonna ask Daniels to sit in the pocket and let Boutte get 40 yards downfield before throwing. They want to get him the ball on slants and crossing routes and what other creative ways they can and let Boutte do the work. I think Daniels can make these throws relatively consistently and keep the ball moving as long as our guys get separation. Not sure he’s threading many tight windows downfield.

One thing I don’t hear people talking about is Daniels’ demeanor. I heard he was a good kid, but kinda quiet and maybe a little shy. This would seem to be Nuss’s biggest advantage—he does seem to have the confidence and swag that is attractive and rubs off on teammates. I think I want him leading a 2-minute 75 yard drive to go win the game down by 6.

I like what both bring—I wish we could meld the 2–and I think they will both play a lot this season. But I hope it’s because they figure out a creative way to utilize both their talents rather than just flip-flopping them due to poor play.
