They’re going to win. They have Sankey and the SEC dead to rights working to avoid complying with a court order.
These two men won their injunction against the SEC, in part. The SEC has then done exactly what they were explicitly ordered not to do by the court.
Discovery in this case could reveal roster tampering by the other schools, conspiracy to keep them off of LSU’s roster, collusion to punish them and LSU, and contempt of court. Conspiracy and collusion are criminal offenses.
And it looks really bad that the league let Texas and SC roster two light skinned players but prevented LSU from rostering two black players.

And it’s ironic how the goalposts were being adjusted by the SEC that seemed to be keeping them from joining LSU but Texas is fine bc their guy only did minicamp.

I thought that this was the endgame for the players all along. Let Sankey threaten LSU with sever sanctions and then sue the f out of them for ignoring a court order.

It really should be a slam dunk for the players.
During the Louisiana injunction hearing, player attorneys explicitly grilled SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey about collusion. [1] (LINK fact that the SEC, Big Ten, Big 12, ACC, and the CFP committee all issued uniform statements against these players within a 48-hour window heavily mimics an illegal antitrust conspiracy. In any other industry, if the top four competing companies and their primary distributor jointly agreed to blacklist a specific group of workers, it would be a flat-out violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act

Hopefully they send notices to the SEC and all other 15 schools to preserve all communications that took place. The outright collusion to exclude these kids is going to hang all of them. Wouldn’t shock me if you see 100 plus plaintiffs at some point. Said it for the last 10 days, Sankey and SEC cut their nose off to spite their face. They wanted to exercise power so bad they lost sight of the real exposure.

That may be. For now. If discovery shows that the SEC did not take any action against other SEC schools who contacted them, then, by the SEC’s own quixotic quest to assert its own governance, the league would have treated members differently for the same violations. This opens them up to damages even if they vote to keep LSU in the league.

yes but SEC will proclaim victory because they kept those guys off the team, and now the time expires and LSU didn't get to have them. Print new money

That's not how preemption works. The fed suit and state injuction are separate cases involving separate legal issues.
