Jefferson over Quinn any day in the slot. In fact I would not have taken ANY WR last year in CFB over JJ in the slot. He was that special.

Quinn was athletic but probably not

He isn’t close to Number 1 on that team. Hell in this offense he may not get a scholarship had it happened before he arrives if we are gonna play this “What If” game. This offense is looking for guys that are physical enough to run over the middle with the ability to put jump DBs neither of which he was. No knock on him, but at that time he was not what he grew into. Again, he transfers just like he did.
Those top 4 were all freshmen and sophomores. He was smaller than all of them and in the system that is run now they are all first round picks.
DJ Chark Fr look at his size
Malachi Dupre - Fr look at his size
Travin Dural - speed and size
John Diarse - so
Q Leslie -
Kevin Spears
Avery Peterson

You do realize he's in the fricking NFL now right?

HE STILL TRANSFERS. He wasn’t better than these 4 of which only one was a sophomore. All of these guys had size, strength and athletic ability on him. So no he doesn’t become a 2nd round pick unless he transfers.
These are equal or possibly better than the 3 this year in this offense. Dupre could go get the ball.
Chark
Dural
Dupre

If Quinn were at LSU last year? No way he starts over Jefferson, Chase, or Marshall.

This is why you don’t start uninformed threads. He never bothered to look at those rosters. LSU was absolutely loaded at WR that class and he was the smallest of them all.

He absolutely does not. There were 4 on that roster who excel in this offense. Chark takes the top off (freshman). Dural in the slot or Dupre is Marshall this year maybe better. Diarse would have been going over the middle - sophomore.
This isn’t a knock on him, but he isn’t better in this offense especially after these guys are coached like the 3 got last offseason.

No, he would not have started over Chase, Jefferson, Marchall and McMath.

Sure. Just about any competent receiver would have done well on last years offense.

Exactly
Then you take the skills of Dupre, Dural, Chark and Diarse, 3 freshmen and 1 sophomore for the summer of 10000 catches and make them work like Jefferson, Marshall and Chase did.
I’m not sure what fantasy land people live in when they think coaching doesn’t matter and a new work ethic and culture have on a person.

Those guys could jump through the room and blaze.

No because all those other bigger, faster and stronger receivers would have started ahead of him and he would have transferred.

Yeah, and that’s why all of those receivers during his time here are on NFL rosters and start games while he doesn’t. Oh, wait...

When you drop the biggest pass of your career, you aren’t good enough to be the subject of a thread where you are discussed as a “potential starter” , let alone a big time player. He is a good receiver. He can play on Sunday. Despite all of that , he dropped the biggest pass of his career and it hit him between the numbers. Until he make a big play in a crucial momen in front of 80,000 plus, he is nothing more than a conversation piece.

Can y’all at least try to look some of this stuff up? Gage and Chark didn’t play much before Quinn left. Quinn was actually logging starts as a true freshman.

He was falling behind Gage and Chark and knew he had to leave to get PT,

Finished his college career with more catches and TDs than any of those guys including a 114 catch 13 TD season. He’s also twice as many balls in the NFL than any of those WRs outside of Chark so it’s not a question of if he was good or a very good college player. It’s simply another in a long line of Miles mistakes.

thats where you went way off the tracks. He probably would have done Ok in this offense if his competition for PT were Dural, Chark, Dupree and Diarse. He's better than Dupree by a lot, on par at the least , if not better than Diarse and Durell, but not on the level of Chark. But he would not see the field much these days with Jefferson, Marshall, Chase, and McMath all in front of him.

forgot about Gage. Gage and Quinn would have been in a tight competition for PT. Both would have done well in this offense (if they could get on the field, as that depends on who the other WR's on the team would be in this scenario the OP puts forth)

Really the answer to that question is that any WR who is good enough to earn a starting WR position at LSU could put up big numbers in this offense with Burrow at QB.

Wow, his what 8 game or so college career at that time? What other player has even started as a freshman WR at LSU?

The fact that he was even out there as a freshman despite all the other WR names that have been dropped in this thread says all that is even needed to be said.

It happens All the time to the pros and this was an 18 yo amateur you dumbass.
