if the story about his exit is accurate, I don't blame him. The story that's circulating is Woodward assured him he was safe when Orgeron was fired. Almost immediately upon Kelly's hiring, he was one of the first coaches to go. For someone who'd been with the program for over 2 decades and 3 head coaches, I'd be pretty pissed to be treated that way too. And he clearly still knows what he's doing. A&M looks as tough as they ever have

He like most of the other coaches all seemed to mail it in towards the end in 2021. I think most of the former players continue to look for something or someone to grasp on to as a reason things went sideways.

Not sure how much mental toughness can be attributed to a S&C coach in the NIL era.

tommy didnt mail in shite...tommy had zero support from O and couldnt discipline the team like he could under Miles and saban and even O per 2020.

dont blame tommy for shite O did and BK treated TM like shite

and everyone saying he didnt have anything to do with it saturday....then why the frick did A&M coach bring up how much they have outscored us in the 2nd half and how that speaks to the S&C under TM vs ours?

because tommy had them boys ready to beat our fricking arse. they have out physicaled us 2 years in a row.

Seems like a BK thing man. I have no problem with him hating that regime that we just overthrew.

I have no way of knowing I don’t know the man. But I know people. Someone doesn’t act like he did if he didn’t care and respect LSU. He feels no doubt disrespected by BK and probably Woody for not speaking up for him when BK fired him. I think if the right guy was hired and they wanted Moffitt I bet they could get him.

LSU was getting pushed around towards the end of his tenure here. It’s not like anybody was sad to see him leave.

Moffitt wasn't the problem while here. He's good at his trade.

But there are professional levels and personal levels to operate on. Sometimes an LSU guy finds work elsewhere and has to coach against us. It's not personal, just professional.

I'll ask since IDK the whole story, but did Moffitt cross lines and burn bridges with his stunts Saturday night?

I’m not defending flint but most of the idiots here said the same things about Tommy during his end here. Now he’s suddenly a god again

The S&C coach is only as good as the HC allows. O was a players coach and let guys slide for missing workouts, etc

Kelly was an absentee coach that didn’t seem to hold guys accountable

Up to the new coach to decide how he wants to handle S&C, Tommy shouldn’t be forced down his throat

Enough with the Moffitt talk. He’s not the only strength coach out there.

Am I the only one who remembers LSU teams under Moffitt's coaching being pushed around regularly? Perhaps losing his job and starting in a new place was necessary to reinvigorate him. But his teams were woefully weak during the end of his tenure. I wouldn't want him back.

His beef seems entirely with Kelly and wasn’t anti LSU. Seeing that Kelly clearly had no friends in the ops building I doubt anyone blames him

And I don’t blame Kelly for cleaning house initially either. A total reset was part of the plan

Yeah, frick that dude. It’s not like LSU didn’t want him, new coach came in and wanted to bring his own guys. Happens to 28 million people in the workforce every year.

Those people don’t go shite all over their previous employers, they shite all over the new guy that forced them out.

The dude survived 3 coaching changes. Finally let go on the fourth. I’d like to know how common that is for a S&C coach.

On one hand it speaks to his talent but on the other hand he should count himself lucky. Seems like he thought he was bigger than the program and no issues should be able to be attributed to him.

How quickly people forget that most people wanted Moffitt gone for years before he was finally let go. Many of his players(rb’s for example) were too heavy and lost a lot of speed and athleticism. He is not the be all end all of strength coaches.

I don't think he's going to walk away from Elko that gave him a job again.

A&M is on a joy ride. Their schedule is weak. They played only the bottom half of the SEC. They will lose to UT, at Atlanta, and their first playoff game. Things wont be so exciting in College Station then.

And this had absolutely nothing to do with Saban and recruiting.
