Obviously the only shot we would have is if Skenes dominated them.

There’s a lot more to pitching a big league game than just having good stuff. He might be ok his first time thru the lineup. 2nd time everyone but the really bad hitters would murder him. Those hitters are smart.

Skenes is still a year or two away from being a starting pitcher in the MLB according to Ben McDonald from last night. Needs a consistent 3rd pitch.

So no. The A's would absolutely skulldrag any collegiate team and probably even a team made up of All-Americans.

The game Skenes pitches would be close. Any other game is a disaster

I don't give a flying blank about college baseball, so I'm just guessing here. Maybe 8 guys on the LSU roster make the big leagues???

25 out of 25 Oakland A's make the big leagues. And most of those have a decent amount of big league experience, which Skenes and Crews have ZERO of.

In one game? definitely. College teams beat MLB teams in spring training all the time. It really all comes down to the starting pitching.

This is the correct answer. Baseball isn’t football or basketball. Weird things happen in baseball all the time.

Could a college team beat a MLB team in a single game? Absolutely. Could a college team be consistently competitive against MLB teams? Hell no.

The difference between LSU and a professional squad.

LSU has maybe 4-5 pros in its starting lineup

An MiLB has 9 pros in its starting lineup.

I would say basketball has the biggest gap. It is like they are playing different games.

So if 80% don’t make it you saying 20% will?

40 man roster so you saying 8 current LSU players will make the big leagues? Not A AA AAA ball, we talking MLB games?

1) Crews
2) Skenes
3)
4)
5)
6)
7)
8)

Go ahead and give 6 more that make it. I’m not seeing 10% much less 20%
