With the same track record he has had at A&M? They seem to be more patient and hang on to delusion longer as a fanbase in College Station.

If we gave him that contract? Yes, unfortunately. Same reason BK will have 5-6 years regardless of results

Nah, we could fire him with cause due to cultural appropriation when he said, "my family."

I always thought Jimbo would have done well here. He knows what it’s like coaching for LSU and recruiting the state

I never saw him as a good fit at Aggy

Two things on this:
Number one: I I believe that Jimbo Fisher, what have recruited the same if not better had he come here. I also believe that Texas A&M is inherently weird. No one can win there. No matter who the coach is.

Number two: if he were the coach, and had the same success, as he is enjoying a Texas A&M with four years , left on a deal and is owed approximately $75 million, do I believe he would still be here? yes, yes I do no one is paying $75 million for a guy just go away

There’s no difference between coaching A&M and coaching LSU. They recruit the same players. If Saban had gone to A&M instead of Bama they would have 5 to 7 championships.

Jimbo is struggling because he’s not a great coach. He is having fairly good results because he is a fairly good coach. Thank God Kelly fired that bullet before coming to LSU.

People still making excuses for Jimbo. Y’all are hilarious. He is a Terrible arse coach. That much talent. And continues to lose 5 games a year.
He would have not done good here. And thank goodness we got a real coach in Kelly

We don't have that CULTure of annual disappointment though.

BK accomplished more in year one than Jimbo has in 6, and that’s winning the SEC west. Jimbo, however, did win the recruiting championship

Well you thought wrong. He's simply not a good coach. He's had 6+ years in college station and has brought in tons of talented classes. But he's terrible at recruiting and developing quarterbacks and his offense is predictable and unimaginative and his teams tend to lack basic levels of discipline and fundamentals.

He would have been a disaster here.

Giving the resources Jimbo has and the talent on that team, it just don’t make sense. If I was Jimbo, I’d make damn sure I had an elite coaching staff around me.

I always wondered how Jimbo would have done at LSU when we thought we had him in 2015. One thing is for sure is 2019 would never happen. I think he would be a better fit at LSU than Texas A&M but all I know is Brian Kelly made it to the SEC championship game in his first year and Jimbo has not made it to Atlanta yet lol.

Well this is just laughably false. Do you know anything about that cult in college station?

If we had hired him after saban left then yes. Jimbo was a good coach when CFB was how it was back then.

But he’s never adapted to the new era of the sport and The type of offense that you need in order be successful now. The game has simply just passed him by.

Such a weird fan base is probably their biggest problem.

The ring thing and yell practice a normal person cannot comprehend

His ancient offense that he still won’t fully give over control of would have been an anchor for him here, same as there.
