The interception, and divot he left ON THE FIELD OF PLAY....we had a group at a local small country club watching. Couple were saying it is at bama it will be incomplete. Im like no way, clear evidence in replay shows it was intercepted. The bama grad replay guy ruled inconclusive...lol...call stands incomplete/out of bounds. We might not even have won, but that was straight up cheating.

Phantom facemask call against Benji Thibodaux in the 1979 LSU-USC game. There was illegal procedure on that play but it wasn't called, instead a personal foul facemask on Benji.

it was 100% correct based on the rule at the time.

NOLA No Call That was the all time worst in any sport at any level considering the obviousness of the call and the magnitude of the game.

This times 1000. To this day I still can’t believe it went down like that, especially as you note the magnitude of situation. If that call is made 99% chance Saints go to Super Bowl.

Not sure if NFL fits the topic but I pretty much lost interest after the Saints/Rams/Goodell debacle. The ref was looking right at it. He didn't miss it. He just chose not to call it.

It was literally a split second celebration and you could make the argument that he was looking to celebrate with a teammate. Was it a penalty? Maybe but it’s open for interpretation just like you can literally call holding on any play.

Brad Wing's non-TD due to the BS taunting penalty.

personal foul penalty on Vadal Alexander against Bama in 2014. We could have scored a TD instead of a field goal

This. The ref just has to read the room at that point in the 4th quarter. The crusher, if I remember, was that by achieving goal-to-go on the play, the penalty was added to the yards needed to cross the goal line.

The NOLA no call... I'm gonna be honest, and I know this is an unpopular take, but in real time I didn't think it was a PI. Now in slow motion, from the angle behind, of course it was. But as a die hard Saints fan even I didn't see it as PI in real time.

Less “unpopular” than it is “insane”

I still am in disbelief that the NFL didn’t release any sort of statement nor comment on it whatsoever.

Worst officiating blunder in sports history, no doubt.

06 Auburn was all around terrible officiating. There was also the play when we went for it on fourth down where Hester caught it for a first down and started running up the sideline and their LB with a weird arse Auburn-esque name punched the ball out and it goes out of bounds. Clearly a reception for a first down and a fumble out of bounds where we should retain possession but nope they rule it incomplete. Then on the last play of the first half Doucet got tackled in the end zone trying to catch a pass IIRC and they throw no flag for PI. Then of course the play at the end of the game that you referenced where they made the call, advanced the ball, and then retroactively picked up the flag which has never happened before and will never happen again. bullshite and cost us a potential NC.
