yeah you THINK that but who was TRAINING him physically? BOO. Who was teaching Lane? BOO. frick man, LOOK at the years Between BOO leaving and returning and Jumps specifically…

If what he's done is "ruined" the women's program, then there's plenty of coaches out there who need to ruin their programs.

He has NOT met expectations AT ALL.
I could coach them to 1 title based on that history. fricking Switzer won a NFL ring with the Cowboys in the same way that dude won a title with LSU Women. WE WERE THE DYNASTY OF ALL WOMEN’S COLLEGIATE ATHLETICS FOR ALL SPORTS.
NONE were greater than us and that may include ALL SPORTS in general!

3. Issue with "2nd place"? Alot of IFs go into how NCs pan out. Not going to even waste my time explaining that to you

You don’t need to because I was at most of those NC meets. You were not especially if you’re less than 40. If’s my arse. Coaching overcomes “IFs”. Only recruitjng sprinters and not focusing on the program is part of the issue and will continue to be because that is only what he knows. fricking field events have become shite through the years. If my arse.

Pound for pound Shaver is the 2nd best coach on campus following Mulkey. Only.
THANKS PAT! You freaking tool. How stupid are you stating this??? Taking something and letting it slide the way he has is like taking a Corvette and letting it go so it can’t even beat a Volkswagen Beetle in a drag race.

He let the program go to shite as compared to the one he inherited and his predecessor has BUILT and beat his arse like a bitch.

This question should be "Other than Curley, who is the worst coach in LSU history". I don't think any other coach in the last 75+ years comes close to his ineptitude.

WW. Talk about crashing a program.

He took over a 10 win team with only 2 SEC wins.

Nicki was a good coach she was just lazy.

I use to think that too for a bit but getting whooped in the first round to Central Michigan with team that had Chloe Jackson, Pointer, Ayanna Mitchell, and Moncrief said that all that needed to be said about her.

She did well with the players she inherited from Van when she got here and did some nice stuff with them. A team of her own players? Was never capable of winning a NCAAT game. We don't even need to discuss the recruiting because it was laughable. What Kim did year one with the same players she had the year before how grossly incompetent her coaching was.

Archer took over after Arnsparger left— based on Arnsparger’s recommendation and the team’s vote. From actual experience, Archer did not have the personality to handle being head coach, whether it’s from pressure, youth or being over his head. Was on same elevator with him at bowl game. Only 5 LSU fans and coach in elevator. Fans said nothing but well wishes to him and team. He said almost nothing back and came off as rude and unappreciative of fan’s support.

Archer was a changed man after that Hall Of Fame bowl in Tampa on Jan. 2, 1989. He lost his temper in the locker room after the Tigers' loss vs Syracuse, and lost the team as well. If you saw him in the elevator after that game it's not surprising that he appeared rude. He had been known as a really cool guy before that night but was just an a@@ hole afterwards

Nicki has unfortunately resurrected herself as a SEC commentator .

Why is this comment needed?

From what I have seen, she is a good commentator and I respect the fact of how professional and complimentary she has been towards LSU's program and team since leaving.

That's just not true regarding talent in the Archer era. Curley was the worst thing for LSU EVERRRR. I played for both.

Yet Archer was far worse at recruiting. Head football coaches, due to the size and complexity of what they manage, should be judged as program managers. Archer literally destroyed a championship quality program and left it practically devoid of any NFL talent. Hallman actually improved the talent situation and set up DiNardo for early success.

All this.

Yeah Johnny Jones is far from the worst coach of all time. He was extremely mediocre here until his final year.

That Ben Simmons year broke him but honestly Ben Simmons is a total loser who I give most of the blame to at this point for not making the tournament. He's a cancer to any team he goes to

Yeah, Curly was bad

Nikki could have been fabulous

Still, Johnny Jones was the worst for me. It was painful to Watch close games where we called zero time outs and the coach chant ‘defense…. defense..’ with the crowd.

Jones was terrible. Couldn’t coach one if the undefeated UCLA teams back from Wooden teams to a conference championship. Dude sucked!
