So you’re pretending there aren’t Orgeron threads every time he’s sited somewhere, Miles threads all the time, CPM threads since baseball started, Aranda threads every weekend during football season or Brady threads every Sunday? Thats just false.

What great things was he doing here at LSU. Got caught in a damn scandal that you guys excuse but hammer other coaches that get caught in similar situations. Nothing more than hypocrites.
Let's see. He took over a disaster of program (LSU) and made them winners. Won the SEC, competed for SEC championships and got them to the tourney all while starting his career at LSU at the young age of 34. He's been nothing but a winner. At that young age and the results he produced in just a short period of time, that's the type of coach you try to lock down. Not one you push away like Woodward did.
Instead, he was betrayed by his own AD who allowed the NCAA to bend him over. Woodward could learn a few things from the Kansas AD on how to tell a very corrupt NCAA to kick rocks.

Even if I didn't agree with it, the initial decision to fire Wade was justified given all of the facts known at that time. The frustration comes from not being proactive in the aftermath.
The sanctions were levied against Wade and we saw they were relatively minor. Those sanctions have now (effectively) ended. We've also seen him go to a basketball wasteland and have IMMEDIATE remarkable success. In year one he tied the NCAA record for largest year to year turnaround en route to a NCAA Tournament appearance. In year two he is back in the NCAAT. Love or hate Wade for what happened at LSU, the number and results don't lie. He wins (currently a career .700 winning %)
It was pretty clear to anyone who paid attention to both LSU basketball and the overall landscape of college basketball that McMahon was completely overwhelmed very early in his LSU tenure. This "that season didn't count BS was just that, a bullshite excuse to justify a truly awful performance). Now, three years later we see McMahon is not the guy to ever bring this program to great heights...or any heights at all. LSU has been unequivocally the worst program in the SEC during his 3 year tenure. A change is necessary and inevitable.
Could/Would LSU and Wade mended fences? Who knows? I do know he still has strong support from LSU fans and boosters. But to not even explore the possibility of trying to bring back the HC who had the most consistent period of winning at your school in decades AND was winning at a level never seen before at another in-state school all while your program is in the tank is inexcusable. If LSU did so and Wade told them to "F-off!" That's fine. At least you can say you tried to mend the fence. But to keep going along with the current state of affairs is ridiculous.

The first which-hunt article from Pat Forde was published on March 8, 2019.
Woody fired WW on March 12, 2022.
Three years and 4 days we were fighting for Wade and LSU.

The volume of those threads combined don’t even come close to WW threads and WW hasn’t coached here in 3 years. It’s beyond beating a dead horse. Literally after every game the front page is dominated by WW threads. Like he’s not coming back here. Woodward isn’t getting fired over firing Wade. People need to turn the fricking page with WW

I think that’s because of the situation surrounding his departure. If there had been complete transparency with that and if we had at least hired a competent coach you wouldn’t be having this volume or anywhere near it. The current situation has accelerated this as well. Keeping McMahon has enraged people which was predicted by some.

Maybe so, but WW didn't hire and retain MM. That is all on Woody.

If CoachMc was successful, it wouldn’t be the way it is.
And don’t worry, when McNeese loses tomorrow, there will be a full crowd here cheering it as well.

It happened three years ago. He’s about to be at his second school since he was fired here. At what point will people move on? When Wade retires?

I hope they do because when they do at least I won’t have to read about Will Wade until next season starts. Then, I’m sure we’ll have an update on NC State’s season twice a week. Can’t wait for that
