Dale had an ego. Will Wade was a younger vibrant defiant Dale. That ruffled the feathers with coach brown.

Dale is all about Dale. I did not believe that when I was a kid.

Dale had a falling out with Brady, Trent and WW, the only coach until CMM that he did not have a falling out with was Johnny Jones. And CMM is so genuinely nice no one could have a falling out with him in the sense that Dale did with the other 3.

The only sensible explanation is that he's waiting for McMahan's buyout to drop.

No point in firing him now… the only qualified coach (according to an alarming amount of idiots on Tigerdroppings) is headed elsewhere. We are so screwed!

Wade couldn't eclipse Dale Brown's win mark if Dale gave him a 100 game head start.

Actual fans, not you... the poster that threatens lives, it's funny if people look up your post history.

We've discussed actual MBB HC candidates not named Frank. We were fans prior, current, and will be fans after.

Double Down death threats incoming...

You are making the argument that Scott should be fired just so you know.

We are so hamstrung by his terrible contract that we have no choice but to pay players millions of dollars to *HOPE* to make the tournament

IMHO i believe also that if gives McLoser one more season, WW will definitely get a power 5 job and it WILL(no pun intended) relieve all hope or pressure of having to admit, mention, or visit the rehiring of The General.

the theory that Dale Brown was worried about WW eclipsing his LSU basketball legacy valid?

I don't know. It could be, but it's pretty clear that group didn't like WW.

Ironically his five years here were significantly better than Dale's first 5. Not even close.

We’re so hamstrung by the cheapest buyout in the conference?

They don't care about McMahon at all. They cared about WW eclipsing Brown's LSU basketball legacy so they worked behind the scenes to destroy WW at LSU...at least that's the theory.
Wade is still going to go down as the best men’s basketball coach in Louisiana history. What did Dale Brown do actually? The bar isn’t very high for LSU men’s basketball.

Possibly so, even despite Collis and Tate submarining CBK via their hit piece in the Washington Post. That article, and the quotes therein by Temple show his true colors. He and Tate both need to go asap and LSU would be much, much better off.

-4 SEC championships
-2 Final Fours
-2 Elite Eights
-Was the 2nd winningest SEC coach of all time when he retired
-From 78-93 LSU basketball was a national brand

Is this a real question?

And for the record, Dale Brown and Collis Temple dis not get Will Wade fired. Also, Will Wade needs to be coaching at LSU next season.

So they set up Wade to be extorted by a players girlfriend, and tipped off the FBI to get Wade bragging about cheating on a wiretap ? Got it

Ironically, Bob Broadhead said until the day he died Dale Brown set him up to wire his office to illegally tape NCAA investigators - for which Broadhead was indicted. Brown suggested it in the first place and strongly encouraged him to do so...or so said Broadhead.

There seems to be a contingent that is not in favor of progress. There should be no reason as to why MBB shouldn’t be competing for top half the league.

there is absolutely a contingent that is fine with basketball floundering. I'll never understand it but look no further than this board for several examples.
