We all had more than enough of Alleva doing almost all he could to destroy tailgating, parking, traffic, concessions, etc.

How long will it take Woodward to right the ship? Besides beer + wine sales (which he didn't directly/solely achieve), what is he currently doing & planning to do? Is that answer posted anywhere from him/the athletic department?

I’d imagine he’d make wholesale changes after season is over and he can see firsthand where issues are.

Those corporate tailgate tents were open for business at the Georgia Southern game

Woodward is not going to do anything that risks income for the AD.

I can see that angle.

But I HOPE he generates MORE income from more fans on campus having a great time leading to MORE income in the short as well as long runs.

Everyone on this board seems to think Woodward is a genie that will change every thing to their liking. I like the guy a lot but money will always be an AD’s top priority.

I doubt we see much change in these areas. We all know the contracts completely rape LSU because Alleva was involved and the man never saw a horrible contract he didn’t love.

Being able to sell beer was not to Woodward’s credit and corporate tailgating is here to stay. It’s happening everywhere

If they built out corporate tailgates with TVs food service and large tents with lots of seats all over campus it might work.

He won’t; it’s a nationwide problem, not an LSU problem. It’s way bigger than anything an AD can fix

I strongly disagree.

If Woodward were to come out [tomorrow] with an announcement that free parking has been extended to X, Y, & Z locations. There will be carpool parking for vehicles of 7 passengers or more with encouragements for tailgating along with an emphasis on post game tailgating (campus wide) in an effort to alleviating post game traffic at the following locations. Additionally, we have a new concessions partner in (ABC) Concessions offering [insert all the quality items + stadium classics + beer & wine]
And so on & so on.

We would see a steady INCREASE of gameday enthusiasm head back to campus these glorious 7 home game weekends a year. People would be over the moon about it.

The only thing that I have heard Woodward remotely address on this is that LSU needs to generate more revenue...

The biggest knock on Alleva is he was always penny wise and dollar foolish. Like increasing the paid parking which I’m sure makes money short term but has clearly pushed more and more people away from coming to campus for the game and tailgating. Little things like that. The atmosphere on campus is very different from 2012ish to now. Just because you charge more for something doesn’t mean you’ll make more money if you drive the prices up so far that people don’t wNt to spend it. Alleva just assumed LSU fans will always pay whatever he asked of them.

Are they selling beer at areas outside on campus before the game now, as well?
