Woodard not looking great right now

Two very solid choices for DC and he whiffs on both of them. What's crazy is that for both Freeman and Neilsen there were reports that it was nearly a done deal for both, only for the next day for it to fall through the cracks. What the hell happened? Holy cow I'm pissed. I swear if we have to settle for promoting Raymond or something, this will have been a massive disaster.

Do people not realize the first person to leak the story was a NFL reporter? Seems like someone from the Saints was the person that leaked the story.

He is 0 ability to close deals on any relatively sought after assistant coach. Just fricking make it happen. It's not an excuse to say "Oh well the Saints forced his hand" or "Oh Freeman wanted to be closer to his family" bullshite. He needs to stop taking it up the arse and make something happen.

We have been dealing with this since 2007. There are a bunch of people that want to feel important that start reporting stuff that they have no true idea on. This happens both from 'journalists' like Lonn. As well as boosters that think thy know more than they actually do. Truth is that it is only known when its a done deal by the AD, HC, Coach to be hired and his agent. I can tell you that none of those 5 are going to be leaking the information to the press, first mention of any reliable info is going to the once they tell the LSU marketing team to get a graphic together that they send out on the LSU Football account. Once they get that notification, some intern will leak it and then 30 minutes later LSU Football will send out a tweet with the official news.
EVERYTHING ELSE IS PEOPLE WANTING TO BE CREDITED FOR BREAKING THE NEWS FIRST. Since CEO has not necessarily been secretive about who he is going after, that has led plenty of people to say "it's a lock" before anyone agrees to it, or a contract has been signed.

Off the top of my head: An AD shouldn't publicly flop on every candidate at a job like LSU (clearly their list of guys was bad), give a huge contract to a guy fired in under 1 year, be campaigning for the University President role when you can't even do your own job correctly... guy just wants to be LSU Prez. frick him
