So Woodward is supposed to hold a gun to these guys heads until they sign the contract?

Maybe they all realized O was a lunatic and decided they didn't want the job.

You people spew shite that you know nothing about.

If by “Woodward” you mean, “Ed Orgeron”, I totally agree

This stuff happens all the time. Why are they updating every little aspect? Makes people and process look like it's screwed up. Everyone good should negotiate and take their best option.

In your infinite wisdom, please explain why Woodward looks "not great" in this. Go into detail as to what he has done to "not look good".

Every time there is a coaching search, this board says "go after the best an make them say 'No'".

Then when someone says "no" its full blown panic mode.

This is the process. This is what it looks like.

Two very solid choices for DC and he whiffs on both of them. What's crazy is that for both Freeman and Neilsen there were reports that it was nearly a done deal for both,

WTF are you talking about?

He never got to “whiff on either”. Orgeron couldn’t sell it.

This ain't Woodward's fault - what is more concerning is that there is nobody who is jumping at the chance to come to LSU to be the DC - LSU is a powerhouse football program one year removed from the National Championship - a new DC can only improve last year's performance so there is nothing to lose coming to LSU - you would think that DC candidates would be lining up

To be honest,

The Rant is not looking good right now.

Wanted blood when pelini couldn't coach up a woke locker room of 34 defensive players.

Was fine to part with $4mm to get rid of him and let him be a shadow staffer on bama.

Didn't want to give him one more year to clean it up after his first year.

Now YOU look stupid.

Well, i mean LSU has fired 2 separate coordinators after only a single year since Orgeron became HC. I’d bet that weighs on candidates minds, especially since the last DC was one of the canned after a single year...

No, been saying this BEFORE LSU fired Pelini.

B. Venables wasn't going to stop anyone with this defense, with the situation at hand this year.

So should they have just kidnapped Freeman? Forced him to come here? People say no to things. Is that a new concept to you?
