You must be from "This gen".

LMAO,,,,CJ was perhaps the greatest Freshman CBB had seen since tPistol.

Get back to us when he drops 50 in a game.

What
He’s good at getting into the paint. Huge play at the end of the first half

That is downright blasphemy!!! Pinson is not even on Tremont Waters level, let alone CJ.

CJ did that within his first few games as a true freshman.

Be careful Bottom9 may curse you out for disagreeing about how good of a basketball
player Pinson is.
player Pinson is.

I wasn't here when Chris Jackson played at LSU but there's something about Pinson that reminds me of the footage from the CJ days. Smooth as silk out ther

I see Pinson as a better, more consistent Josh Gray
Posted on 11/15/21 at 8:55 pm to Tigeralum2008
You must have seen different footage. He isn't even close to CJ. I like Pinson, but don't embarrass CJ by making this comparison. CJ was an All-American both seasons. Pinson won't make All-SEC. CJ could score 30+ points in a game, Pinson will be lucky to break into double figures. Again, I like Pinson, but don't disrepect CJ with this comparison. Not on the same planet.

LOL. NO! not even in the same galaxy. Pinson is a solid PG and can play the #2 spot also but very few had the crossover jump shot that CJ had. Steph and a couple of others but very few.

Their both guards and play basketball and that’s where the comparison ends
Posted on 11/15/21 at 9:09 pm to Tigeralum2008
No, I don’t see Pinson gaining that kind of scoring ability.
Posted on 11/15/21 at 9:10 pm to Tigeralum2008
Wow big miss on comparison but I do really like what I've seen. He is probably the 1st true point guard (beat you off the dribble with speed and look to dish) that I can remember lsu having in a while. Tremont could and did but was more of a scorer. Javonte was a methodical PG and developed into a great shooter but not as quick. I really wish we could've seen this team with Adam Miller because I think his skill set and pinsons gel with each other

You’re gonna catch hell fir that post because you didn’t witness 30ppg in college basketball so you don’t understand how hard that is and Pinson is nowhere near that. I think there’s only been 1 or 2 other power 5 school players who’ve done it since CJ, that’s how rare it is. Jackson maybe the most underrated college basketball player of all time, had he played at Duke or Kentucky the media would still be mentioning what he did every chance they got.

I have no doubt Pinson will get there.
One of the most annoying things I see people commonly do these days is say that they have “no doubt” or are “100% sure” of something they are without a doubt 100% wrong about

Every time Chris Jackson launched a shot from anywhere on the court, we believed it was likely going in. It was an absolute pleasure watching him play. Not quite like Steph but it's the same feeling.
You really had to see it, which is what the old timers said about Pete. But it's true.

I like your excitement for Pinson, but if he’s going to catch CJ, he needs to do it next game.
CJ scored 48 against La Tech in his 3rd game and 53 against Florida in just his 5th game of his career.
Pinson’s good, but he’s no Chris Jackson.

Marcus Thornton was the closest we’ve had to Chris Jackson as a shooter but we’ll likely never have anyone close to him as an overall player. He was Curry before Curry.
Before you embarrass yourself maybe you should read the name on the side of the building they play in. If you want to say CJ wasn’t a comparison to Pete, then my bad. But from smoothness, shooting ability and ball handling, CJ was 80% of what Pete was. Height was the difference but the positions were the same.
