but the MM one in length and what he put in it was insane especially for a mid major coach.
LSU had to overpay precisely because Wade left such a stink on the program it was difficult to attract coaching recruits who didn't want to clean up the mess.
And it wasn't as crazy as BK because CMM is now in the bottom tier of SEC coach pay. As bad as CMM's performance has been, he's no longer being paid like a top echelon coach (like BK was).

To all the people that said he wasn't a championship coach....well no he wasn't....but he was the coach that brought LSU to a relevant level that had not been seen for a long time on the national level. He had top notch talent here and was competing right away. Compare that excitement with McMahon. It's night and day. Wade was the perfect fit here and they were too scared to stand up for him.

Firing a lying idiot who was ordinary in March, and stupid enough to use his wife's checking account. NC State is falling apart at the end of the year. Move on from Will Wade

He was reprimanded. They fired his dumb arse.

Does "long time" include 2006?

Thanks for showing youre a complete moron.

Basically, the SEC along with Big 10 want no general oversight and want to be free to write their own rules. It's a good and bad proposition. But without an overall commissioner like the big professional leagues have, you'll have widespread "corruption" bu it won't be corrupt because there are in reality no rules.
Can't pay players.....NIL has allowed for purchase of players.....now for big money
Can't tamper with other teams players......A no limits transfer portal without the old year sit out is a thing of the past.....you can actively recruit your opponents players now with the portal

f this is the case, I would like LSU to acknowledge this in some way. I am a reasonable person and will accept this if true and move on, but message board speculation is not a sufficient substitute for stakeholder communication.
It was all over different podcasts when it was happening, after it happened and every now and then pops up. Common knowledge for those paying attention.

He cost LSU at least 64 million dollars just on buy out money alone. I don't even know how to calculate the lost revenue he costs us from these idiotic hires and ABSOLUTELY MORONIC contracts.

Can someone give the TLDR?
here you go:
Will Wade

LSU fired Wade to avoid significant sanctions
It may be the reason they "give". But no one will able to ever convince me the potential sanctions were real or that anything would have ever came of it. See every other program that told the NCAA to frick off.

Wade was not very cooperative with LSU in the investigation.
It was pretty clear LSU didnt have Wades back either and shouldn't have cooperated with the NCAA.

What about the $$ he paid to Javonte Smart 's handler which the FBI had on tape ?

totally missing on the next HC hire
Posted on 3/11/26 at 1:17 pm to Dwainwright
That was investigated and nothing was found. The tape had nothing to do with anything, Dawkins lawyer released it to discredit Wade as a potential witness but the judge threw it out. That was media spin

agree but its the DADs fault.

Perhaps. But it was the mom's decision to throw him out, leading to a significant decrease in her standard of living, which most effected the kids.
That's why the kids want dad back and don't really care about his indiscretions. They just want an opportunity to get out of the trailer park and be happy again.
