Wade’s karma was being exiled to McNeese for 2-years. He made the most of it and is back where he belongs. LSU’s karma for not standing by Wade is McMahon and another 2 years of putrid misery.

Not really.

So you’re using future, yet unfolded events, to justify your karma is a bitch statement.

Okay, but it seems out of place for the context of this thread and what is transpiring for LSU and Wade individually, but you do you.

That to me is a cop-out," Wade told the AP. “When I was doing that, it was illegal. Just because it’s legal now doesn’t mean it was the right thing to do then. And I think that’s the way that some people rationalize some things, but that’s not the reality of what it was. It wasn’t right to do then and, you know, I paid for it.”

Will Wade paid a player’s girlfriend from his own checking account. That is very much not legal in todays landscape.

With his ability to recruit, he’ll have the Wolfpack back in the tournament next year.
And lose in the first or second round. Same as it ever was.

Agreed. What the girlfriend did is called extortion. She should be in jail.

It’s pretty easy to not get extorted. Don’t open yourself up to extortion. There done. Can never be extorted.

So basically Wade takes accountability for his firing and owns it yet so many of our fans can’t move past it and blame everyone else but him

To be fair, it was actually his wife’s account.

Yeah, he looked like a broken man.

Every reporter I have seen is predicting a great future career.
He hasn't done too bad in the past.

Is that the Karma if which you are speaking

This will put the Wade garglers in a loop.

They still insist he did nothing wrong.

That's your takeaway?

This thread reads more like going to confession, admitting your sins to the Priest and walking out of confession booth to a gallery of bystanders saying "Screw you!"

Contrition only works for some I guess.

Pretty much. And I give him credit for going beyond coach speak in what he said. Admitted that what he did was illegal. But you still have simps claiming he did nothing wrong.

What was Wade caught doing? Some of you really need to read what was actually proven during the IRAP.

Paying players.
Read it again. HIS WORDS.

During a later interview with The Associated Press, Wade also refused to use today's changed climate in the sport — with allegations of payments tied to Wade's LSU ouster essentially legal now with college athletes allowed to profit from their fame — as a pass.

“That to me is a cop-out," Wade told the AP. “When I was doing that, it was illegal. Just because it’s legal now doesn’t mean it was the right thing to do then. And I think that’s the way that some people rationalize some things, but that’s not the reality of what it was. It wasn’t right to do then and, you know, I paid for it.”

Is that why the IRAP exonerated him of all the major allegations?

they gave him a two year show cause and a 10 game suspension.

quote:

Former LSU men's basketball coach Will Wade, who was fired for cause in March 2022 due to multiple NCAA Level I violation allegations dating back to 2017, has been assessed a two-year show-cause order and a 10-game suspension at his new school, McNeese State. The punishment was handed down Thursday by the Independent Resolution Panel (IRP), the governing body of the soon-to-be-defunct Independent Accountability Resolution Process (IARP).

According to the IRP, Wade "committed multiple violations, including failing to report potential NCAA violations, providing impermissible cash payments to impede disclosure of information of potential NCAA violations in contradiction to NCAA unethical conduct legislation, and failing to cooperate with the infractions investigation. The hearing panel also found that the former head men's basketball coach violated the head coach responsibility rules by failing to promote an atmosphere of compliance within the men's basketball program."

that’s pretty much the exact opposite of “exonerated”

Not sure what that has to do with the subject

Deep thoughts… if the USSC ruled that prohibiting players from receiving compensation for NIL is unconstitutional… was it ever really “illegal” to pay a player? I know, there’s much more to it, just a brain dropping…
