I really do not believe there are Nuss haters. There are fans who trusted the coaching staff to determine who the best QB was and those who did not.

I was never a Daniels hater, but let me tell you JD5 the 2022 version was not near the JD5 2023 version. 2022 he was scared to make mistakes and turn the ball over, so he didn’t make a lot of throws he should have. In 2023 he trusted his receivers and let it rip, and boy did it make a difference. JD5 has worked his way into being one of the best to ever QB at LSU!! Congrats to him for putting in that work.

They already were and still are.

Aw will you settle for Nuss? No, that won't be the reasonable opinion that we are settling for him because there's no better option.

The Nuss haters are people like you. You make snide pathetic remarks like "I don't see any Nuss hate just valid criticism of how much he sucks". You mention over-enthusiastic posts. Like you had about JD last year? frick off.

So is valid criticism of Nuss the same as "hating"?

Or could somebody just have concerns of Nuss and thus thought JD gave us a better chance in 2023... Especially since thats what the coaches saw also?

If I search your post history will I find "valid criticism" of Jayden?

Who the flying frick is talking about 2023? He is the starter for the bowl and next year.

Probably not, there wasn't much to criticize.

Well, considering the spring of 2023 is when the whole Nuss Hater vs JD hater debacle came about, I'm assuming EVERYONE is discussing the comparison of attitudes towards the respective QBs from this past season to the upcoming one. Try to stay focused.

Thanks for proving my point.

Please explain how someone thinking Jayden should start over Nuss applies to a Nuss hater who thinks we need a transfer to start over him. To a Nuss hater nitpicking his playtime as a backup. Saying that things he did early on matter, but things he did more recently like against Georgia do not because "they weren't trying you guys". Or inevitably when the Nuss haters who blindly defended Jayden even when he was doing poorly take the exact opposite stance when Nuss ever dares have a bad play or a bad game.

Then you ASSume wrong. You're trying to make it a Nuss vs Jayden argument because you think more people will side with you that way. What's actually being discussed is Nuss haters who nitpick everything

You are incredibly naive if you don't think race was a factor. And it's "cue," not "Q," dumb arse.

Who is mad? I would selfishly love to see JD5 one more time in P&G but I honestly think the coaches getting to see Nuss in a real game is ideal. Wouldn't mind seeing a little of Collins as well.

This strikes me as a giant strawman. Who is actually saying this? Provide links to these comments?

defended Jayden even when he was doing poorly

Every one has a bad play or bad game here and there. Daniels season last year was a lot better than many give him credit for. The whole he was afraid to throw downfield is mostly a assumption. Sure there may have a few llays he tucked and ran when he could have thrown it downfield, bu It could also have been the coaches. Also none of us watch tape which tells a lot more than what you see on TV or even live relying on memory. Besides he rushing was a valuable weapon, it is what separated him from Penix and Nix.

The cult of the back up QB has existed at every level of FB for a long time and has nothing to do with Daniels or Nussmirer. It was clear to people with eyes and no agenda that Daniels was extremely talented and the best option, not due to hate of the other guy but his play and skill.

No fans have seen enough of Nussmirer to offer meaningful criticism. He threw 57 passes as a true freshman on a bad team. He played mostly mop up as a RSFr in 22 and a great half against UGA and played well in the bowl.

Saying I’ll trust the coaches evaluations is also not hate.

I don’t hate him, but I don’t think he’s going to be the superstar they’re expecting. I think he will be just above average. Too many forced throws in a hurry in the few times he’s played.

There are people that said he’d be better than Daniels, that’s completely unfair to Nussmirer.
