I am sorry for your loss. It will get better over time. It sounds like your father was a good man. It will get better. Make time for yourself whenever you can.
I really do not believe there are Nuss haters. There are fans who trusted the coaching staff to determine who the best QB was and those who did not.
Oh no. Not hosting. I just need to know where the party is so I can make sure I am not there ;)
Damn. You live in my neighborhood. Either that or a very similar looking neighborhood with the same sign posted this morning

Got out not too long ago. Great show.
The number of posters who believe TJ started because he is black is extremely disappointing. You all need to grow up. TJ started for a few reasons.

1. Max missed a couple of weeks of practice due to covid quarantining

2. O and E prefer old school pocket passers like Brennan and TJ over more mobile QBs. We recruit mostly pro style pocket passers. This just happened to be a situation that broke stereotypes where the black QB was the immobile and the white QB was athletic. Don't bring up Burrow. He fell into our laps and our staff limited his running as much as they could.

3. Because Brennan and TJ are both immobile pocket passers it was an easier transition for the offensive staff mid season

Caught it in March. Smell is still not completely back.

Anyone else watching this? I just finished. The best way I can describe it is a British version of Clockers/The Wire. Not as good as the Wire but still compelling with strong characters.
Top Boy if you like the Wire
quote:

Bird grew up in an era where white players got zero respect and you were almost ashamed to try and play basketball.

European players never had that hang up because they didn't grow up with the stigma in America that White Men Can't Jump.

They just balled.

Drazen Petrovic, etc...it's no wonder that the teams that gave the US the most difficult battles in international competition were Eastern Europeans. They didn't kow-tow to prejudice and didn't grow up in an social world which discouraged them from playing because they were white. That's why the biggest white stars in the NBA the last 25 years were International guys...they didn't buy into we can't play while white players in America were basically told you can't play...maybe you can shoot a long ball 3 and that's about it.

Blame American youth sports for this as well. Coaches and parents encourage kids to participate in "racially appropriate" sports or positions. This also occurs in football. Fast white players are moved to slot receiver when they could just as easily play cornerback.

There is also the poverty aspect. Eastern European white basketball players often grow up in conditions similar to worse than American inner cities. Poor education and economic opportunities. Like in American inner cities basketball for them is often the only way out (Larry Bird also grew up extremely poor FWIW).

Very good show. I caught both seasons earlier this year

I had it about three months ago. Was out of work 3 weeks. Smell and breathing are still not 100% back.
