Either way, I will support his decision. Honestly for his sake, I hope he sits out and has an amazing career in the NFL. After A&M, I think it’s time to get our next qb some much needed reps and let’s do that in the bowl game

if this is all you got you’re clueless. Do you notice in every interview this season with the media he’s wearing a shirt of a teammate that’s fighting brain cancer? Not a shirt of his favorite musician, clothing brand, or a campaign shirt for his heisman run but a teammate fighting for his life. That’s very “me” first of him. Do you notice in this day and age of social media where players are quick to log on and express their emotions and leave cryptic messages after games he’s never once took a shot at his defense and thrown them under the Bus or the coaching staff? Do you notice he’s never had any off the field incidents? Obviously puts the teams first before his own actions unlike some certain players on the other side of the ball. If you want an example of a “Me” player look no further than Kayshon Boutte from last year.

I was a JD hater last year and I've never once thought of him that way. Even before he made me a believer this year I always thought he played hard and was all about the team.

Even when he's not in the game he's the biggest cheerleader on the sideline.

There’s a new culture baw. Jayden Daniels ain’t kayshon boutte. There’s a shift in the culture. Now we just need to get that passion on the defense

OK your looking at a $ 20 million dollar April 2024 payday...you're the Heisman trophy winner....don't risk injury for a meaningless Jan. 1 bowl.....How much money you think Jordan Travis lost Sat nite....for a run against little sisters of the poor....

He probably won’t but these guys are pros now, technically they’re being paid to play

You had a good post going until you stated this crap

I wouldn't mind if he sat out at all. If he sits the Nuss gets handed the keys and he gets a lot more practice which will only help him next year

No. I think he’d be done already if not for the Heisman.

Bryce Young, Lamar Jackson Johnny Manziel and RG3.

All Heisman winners and first round draft pics.

None of their teams were in the CFP.

All played in a meaningless bowl game.

Why are posters here so absolute in believing he will not play?

There is virtually nothing about Daniels that suggests he is a me-first guy.

But past history has shown us that once these guys get to that final game, they start being swayed by parents, aunts & uncles, and agents, and it becomes a business decision to skip the bowl game.

They always use the injury excuse, and it's a valid one. A large factor, though, is that the agent immediately puts the kid "on the payroll." He gets an advance, as it were, on his NFL draft contract.

But is that going to be as important now with QBs already getting big NIL money?

Well with the Bowl game, he can become the ONLY QB in the HISTORY of college football with 4000yds Passing and 1000yds rushing in a single season.

Well Jayden has a very significant NIL deal, therefore he doesn't neccessarily have to be "on the payroll". So he can enjoy the bowl game and have fun. Like the bowl game against Purdue, have the gameplay to play Nuss regardless. Play them BOTH.

Talk about what you know. Kayshon was kicked off the team. He was actually coming back for another year. Something happened in Atl and he was dismissed.

I wouldn’t think he’ll play. It’s a great opportunity for Nuss if he doesn’t.
