Unless we get in to a NY6 game, I would prefer to play Nuss to start preparing him for next year.

The OP is obviously a troll but (a) I do think JD will reward CBK for bringing him here to go get that 10th win and (b) I have to believe hanging 45 points on Penn State is going to move him up 5 spots in the draft quicker than doing a 3-cone drill in 3.8 seconds at the combine.

The reality is that the coaches are under a ton of pressure to get that 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th win. Otherwise, I could totally see the bowls becoming like NFL exhibition games where it is understood (or agreed to by coaches) that the starters play the first half and then clear the benches in the second halves like a spring / futures game, ya know?

Charles Hannagriff suggested last night that JD5 WOULD probably play in the bowl to have more evidence to improve his draft status. JD is not a cinch to be a top 20 pick like Nabors and Thomas are.
What else is there for him to do to improve his draft stock that he hasn’t already done? Especially if he balls out against A&M and gets the Heisman

If Nabers and Thomas sit out the bowl game, JD loses his 2 best playmakers….which would make it all the more tougher for him to have a bowl game performance that improves his stock vs possibly hurting his stock by playing with a depleted supporting cast
