Why not start Nuss??

Look we know we’re going to get throttled..0 has taken this once proud program to a level where you can’t even be excited about the Alabama game.
BUT
Why don’t we start Nuss? We already know what we’re going to get with 14… Standing like a statue in the pocket getting pummeled by the oncoming rush. Why not just throw Nuss in there to see what he can do playing with nothing to lose?

It would be better for the future if Nuss only played in two more games and kept the year of eligibility.

And yes you absolutely go for the redshirt…it’s a no-brainer at this point
The game would be paused and People would be fired on the spot the minute Nuss was jogging onto the field in his 5th game
Not that it even needs to be discussed, as it’s common sense, but I’m sure Woodward and O have discussed this already
We’re not giving up a potential entire future year of a QB just to potentially lose a little closer in 1-2 games to close out a garbage season

Well there’s really no reason to watch.
1st down: -1 yd rush

3rd down: Max stands there overwhelmed & sacked for 5 yard loss.

Just stop it. The problem for LSU isn't at the QB position. Nuss isn't better than Max Johnson right now.

Nuss has only been OK to bad when playing.

You have to start Max, then let Nuss play if Max is shitting the bed. Nuss' first start can't be BAMA on the road

We have no idea if he is or isnt because he hasnt really played enough to know up to this point.
Point really is, Max is in a bad place right now, he isnt getting it done at QB. He's had essentially 1 good SEC game against UF and some pretty mediocre to flat out bad outings outside of that.
His PFF grades in SEC games this season (where a 60.0 is average):
@ MSU - 62.8
AU - 51.4
@ UK - 58.3
vs. UF - 71.9
@ OM - 38.7
Thats just not getting it done. No idea whats up with him, but it should be at least clear Nuss can make some throws Max clearly cannot and Max probably isnt the future at QB for us, so in a crap season at this point sitting at 4-4, why not give Nuss a shot?
The coaches probably are hesitant to do it knowing the ramifications it may have (Max transfer, his brother decommit) and that would be pretty bad for us too.

Do not start him, but definitely play him once Bama has the game in hand (2nd quarter). He needs the big game experience.

The good news is that there is a fair chance Nuss starts the next game.
The bad news is that he would start at left offensive tackle, now that Bradford has exited for the season.

Max is our QB going forward. He’s not the problem. Next question. Nuss can wait his turn like a big boy.

I agree. Get Nuss as much playing time as you can, but make sure he still gets a redshirt this season.
He's played in 2 games so far right? (McNeese and Ole Miss). Get him a lot of time in the ULM game and then either the A&M or Arky game. No point in wasting him for the Bama game, we're gonna get throttled anyway.

While i do agree that it is time for a change and would like to see Nuss start...the bama game isnt the one.
Let Max go out start and once we are getting arse kicked in pretty bad let Nuss come in garbage time and then start the following week
