The basketball teams get to make an overseas trip once every 4 years (I think). Title 9 says if the men can do it, so can the women

Football season ticket holders and SECN subscribers.

I honestly wish we'd get rid of her ASAP and take the program in a different direction. We're paying her $800,000 (!) a year to never finish higher than 4th in the SEC and never advance past the sweet 16 in 7 years while recruiting like shite which is pretty pathetic in women's NCAA basketball, and on top of that she decided to get pregnant in her 2nd year of what was supposed to be a tenure with insanely high stands.

It's cool and all that she has a personal life but I think it's disrespectful to your employer, student athletes, and the people who depend on you to pull something like that in the second year of your contract while you're supposed to be focusing on a complete rebuild. If my wife gets hired as the CEO of a failing company which has great potential and a successful history and gets pregnant a year later and immediately starts doing a shitty job as CEO, everyone is going to think she's a manipulating money-grabbing a-hole who shouldn't have ever taken the position in the first place. Which is how I basically feel about Caldwell/Fargas/whatever

Like her salary could be spent on something better than the equivalent of lighting $800,000 cash per year on fire I'm not really sure why more people aren't annoyed about her considering how quick this board is to call for our coaches heads, maybe you don't have to donate thousands of dollars per year to the TAF for your football tickets but I personally think it'd be nice if my hard earned donations could either be saved or spent on something that isn't a dumpster fire.

I think she is a good coach but I am extremely dissapointed to what she has done with the program. The bottom line is she can't recruit here at LSU. We can't land any top recruits anymore and we essentially rely on a carousel of transfers every year. On top of that every top recruit in the state of Louisiana doesn't even consider LSU anymore. All her teams seem to have players getting kicked off the team and suspensions after suspensions.

As soon as Moncrief leaves, this program is in major trouble, the talent just isn't there at all.

This next recruiting class isn't even top 40 right now, If there isn't any surprises come signing day and we have another average year I would prefer for us to move on. This program deserves and should be much better than what it is right now.

Hope it works out better than the boys trip to Australia a couple of years back.

What we thought would be an excellent opportunity for team-building and using the extra on court game experience to become better, we came back a fairly fractured team who seemingly mostly didn't like each other and got worse at the end of it rather than better.

TexasTiger89 hit it on the head. The Rant doesn't care much about Women's BB. She can be fired or retained and most of us wouldn't notice.

Wow. When the men's bball team go, everyone is like this is great and how exciting for the players. When the women bball team goes we get people like you complaining. Tigers foundation is paying just like for the men's team trips so relax and let the team enjoy it. I know I would love to go on one of these trips. Now if you must complain, complain that alleva and his wife went. An AD has no reason to go other than a free vocation. At least the team will play exhibition games

They are playing 3 games against Italian pro teams and are allotted two extra weeks of practice. Yeah funny how everyone is excited and applauding when the men make an overseas tour.

However, I will say I'm a bit peeved that Alleva and his wife are tagging along. He should be paying his own way.
