What's Cranford's batting average?

I think it's more about the batter here.

You have the top of the lineup coming up you dumbass. Sadly we couldn't even put the ball in play

I typically don’t care for some of his in game tactics but that was the right move.

You have a higher chance of scoring AT LEAST 2 runs with 1 out and men on 3rd and 2nd than 1st and 2nd with 0 outs.

Also Cranford can’t hit

We had the top of the lineup coming dude. This shouldn’t be that hard to figure out.

it was a good move. you can;t account for the hitters swinging at garbage and the umps missing calls. The pitch mathis took for strike 3 would have hit a right handed batter

Regardless he needs to pinch hit. That was a terrible bunt.

That was a smart move.

Runners on 2nd and 3rd with the top of lineup coming up and we didn't execute.

Wins just enough to keep his job. I think we get a lot of credit for the names on our jerseys and from what skip did for this university. Paul recruits a few good players each year and a few good pitchers but we always have about 4 or 5 holes in the lineup of guys that can’t get the job done at the plate and a pitching staff that is not quite as deep as we want to believe.

And as you mentioned, his game day button pushing leaves a lot to be desired.

I knew there would be a thread started about this even though 100% of college baseball coaches would have bunted in that situation.

Some of you are so baseball illiterate it’s painful.

In what way is advancing the runners a "terrible bunt"

If he hadn't bunted and we hit into a DP, the board would be screaming for a bunt.

We need to worry about his pitching decisions, it was the right move to bunt there.
