Wasn't Brennan leading the nation in yardage when he was injured.
He couldn't overcome Woodward's hire of Pellini, and we had no defense.

Unless Howard blows minds in practice it will be JD's job to lose. If Howard plays any next year it's one of several realistic possibilities:
1.) JD left for whatever bizarre reason
2.) Nuss leaves, automatically putting him at second string no matter what
3.) He's forced into the role like an injury to JD
If he won the starting job over JD everyone should be excited but it's very hard to believe he's going to beat out JD next year with 0 experience even as gifted as his potential is. That's simply wearing P&G glasses and going full tropical thunder retard thinking it's realistic. Can he defy those expectations? Absolutely. Nobody should be expecting it though.
Throwing the prettiest ball in practice does not = the best QB overall right now. That's about the dumbest shite I've read on here. Can he read a defense? Can he process the information on the field? Can he make presnap adjustments? etc. etc. Nuss can throw the ball better than JD do you see him stealing the field from him? That's the problem on here and why they always want second string guy. They don't understand the QB position is full of nuances. Coaches know more than anyone on here. Shut up and trust BK.
LSU is not putting a Davey O’Brien Award semifinalist on the fricking bench next season unless the guy behind him is blowing minds.

this is the dose of reality a lot of fans don't want to accept. if Daniels stays, chances are he's the starter over walker howard who has literally no real experience as a starting QB on the college football field.

Y’all act as if Lsu has had an abundance of 5* qb lining up to play for Lsu- and again this kid came solely due to the fact that he wants to play for LSU.
And we have a playground style qb that is def fast AF that can’t pass for shite.
Do you honestly think JD is serving to recruit more in state wr talent? Or… do you think WH and his obvious potential will recruit more?

The real answer: Because every QB sitting the bench will be the savior of the team, say most football fans of all teams.

My honest answer - an LSU tradition dating back to Bert Jones in the early 1970s.
The QB on the bench who has high credentials but who hasn’t played much, if any, college football is always the best QB on the roster.

He threw for over 1,000 yards and 11 TDs in three games behind an historically bad oline what the frick are you smoking? On pace for 4,000 yards passing and over 40 TDs isn’t good enough for you?

How many times have we heard stuff like this about LSU QBs and they completely flop? LSU hasn’t had a good non-transfer QB since Matt Flynn. Hopefully BK can actually develop Howard but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Yes JD is a bum and is absolutely atrocious passing the football. He can’t throw anything else besides a comeback route and he can’t throw the ball anywhere else on the field besides the sidelines. Our passing game this year has been an abortion and I can’t believe people like you who want him back next year exist

How many 5* qb has Lsu recruited in the last 3 decades?
We finally get one as a gift that has wanted to play here since he started playing football…
This guy didn’t need to be recruited- was coming regardless.
