doesn't it tell you that they think even if LSU loses, a 13-1 LSU vs a 12-1 Bama (with much weaker resume) has more claim to being considered the best team than Bama?

Nov. 5 was "Winner takes just a little bit."

In order to render their Nov 5th loss at home meaningless

Yep. Every game is important....unless you're Bama. Then only the games you win count.

Because it's true, no matter if we like it or not.

They can pretend all they want but they actually did lose in November. Bama is behind only North Korea as a dogmatic mass cult.

they would have had a better loss.. they lost to the #1 team. if we lose we would have lost to the #2 team.

they have the mentality of a team's fanbase that lost on Nov 5th and want it to be forgotten forever.

If it is true and obvious why they repeat it so much? I don't see Green Bay fans constantly saying "winner of the Super Bowl takes all"
I think the real reason is because they hear media saying LSU has already done enough this season to be considered the best team regardless of Jan 9 game.

I want the crystal football. It is awarded to the team that WINS the BCSNCG. So winner takes all is appropriate.....could you imagine if LSU lost yet they said wait LSU come back on the field we have decided to award the losing team the crystal football. Not going to happen.

this.

bama and the media and voters found a way to nullify a 13-0 season if we lose.

but if we win, we'll be like supreme champions of the universe and stuff.

as far as the CRYSTAL BALL, they are right,
but they are also laying the foundation to denounce the possibility of a split championship.

...something that ESPN will help them with.

Do you think that what the gumps are saying is disrespectful toward LSU and what this team has accomplished?

Because in the vacant dark chasm where their brain should reside there's a fizzle of static electricity that's telling them they got lucky in November and that they're about to receive a beat down of epic proportions

But Nov. 5th was the greatest loss ever, ever. It was the kind of loss that songs are written about. The mother of all losses.

No, quite the opposite. I think they think what LSU has done is so much that even if they win, they can't honestly consider themselves the true NC.

Like it or not, its true. Never have a seen a fanbase so proud of a loss.

Really speaks to the volume of how dysfunctional the BCS has become when a team gets in because its loss is "better" than the wins of another team.

It's only a big victory if you beat them twice.
