It really isn't "winner takes all" because our team has already won the SEC west and SEC championship. No one can take those away.
But the game is "winner takes BCS national championship" and that is so important as to be close enough to "winner takes all." The Gumps may not have it exactly right, but they're pretty darn close.

There's no such animal as a 'split championship' unless you plan on breaking that Crystal Football into pieces, which I don't think anyone has plans on doing.

The same reason they and talking heads say the ap is irrelevant, they have nothing to gain if they lose. Lsu however could still be ap champs with a loss

The only way for this to be completely fair is for Bama to play in Baton Rouge at night. We deserve every advantage that they had.

You're right, but don't underestimate the Gumps, and the people who blow them. They will suggest they're the real SEC champs too if they can beat the SEC champ in the national title game. One already suggested this last week or so on here, but while trying to protect himself by saying "that's what some others will say".

False. I do agree the BCS trophy means more to me, but unlike some irrational LSU fans I do think the SEC and AP trophy's are very meaningful and we are pretty much garunteed those.
Winner takes the BCS trophy.... not all.
