Clarification:
1) A win by 3 in overtime....is still a win, contrary to what the gumps would like to believe.

2) While most "so called experts" may think Bama is better than OSU, Bama had their bite at the apple on Nov. 5th and came up short (refer back to point #1).

3) The only way to "truly" determine the better team is on the field of play. Therefore OSU was more deserving of a 1st opportunity to beat LSU than Bama is deserving of a 2nd.

All that being said, life isn't fair and Bama has been gifted a "do over". So, it is what it is....Jan 9th, winner take all.

They got in because certain ESPN and other wanted it to happen. Danielson is the only one I have heard say this game shouldn't be. The BCS needs to be fixed. Most of the country is angry two teams same conference & division playing. Nothing we can do.

It really doesn't matter if you think about it. The BCS NCG has always been a winner take all. If we played Okie St (like we should) it would be a winner take all. I just have an issue with Bama playing in the game. Don't think it is fair to finish 3rd in your conference and play for a NC. (Call me crazy) "Eye ball test trumps all logic"

Most of you are missing the point. The original question was why Bama fans repeat "winner takes all"?
Why do they need to say this? LSU fans don't say that because it is obvious if LSU wins they take all. So, it looks like they are not sure they deserve it and maybe they think LSU will still be considered the best team even Bama wins.
Please don't post it is true that winner takes all, we know coaches poll gives that crystal ball to the winner of the game.
