I was a fan before I started Kindergarten. I don’t understand these posters saying they’re fans because they graduated from LSU. I mean, did your fanship have anything to do with choosing the school? Not that it’s mandatory, of course...

Grew up a casual fan in Northeast Louisiana. Had a few guys I knew that played various sports . Dated a girl that went to LSU . I saw the earthquake game and the filming of Everybody's All American. Moved to little Rock after college (94) and experienced Arkansas' little brother syndrome. My (x) wife's family were die hard Razorback fans . The jealousy in Arkansas was rampant. I loved showing up in purple and gold in a room full of Cardinal red.

I grew up in East Texas. My brother (13 years older) was an LSU athlete, so I attended a few of his events as a young dude. I was a ardent Texas A&M fan through middle and high school, but they broke my heart when they did not offer me an academic scholarship, while LSU did.

One of my first games in Tiger Stadium was LSU vs Texas A&M, when Todd Kitchen went nuts and we upset the Aggies. That was a great night to be a Tiger.

Really really really glad I made the choice I did - or that was made for me - 30 or so years ago.

First game I attended was 1959 opener against Rice. I was born 3 weeks later. My mother went while pregnant with me and I’ve been going ever since. Parents, siblings, grandchildren all graduated from there.

And I still sit in the same seats.

I’m a first generation FOOTBALL fan, much less LSU fan. Parents, grandparents, none attended college nor followed football in any way. Went with a friend to the LSU UF game in 1981 and was hooked. 2x graduate and season ticket holder for 30 yr NOT counting student section yrs! Make 2-3 away games a year and most postseason games!! TIGER for life!! Last 3 songs at my funeral will be the Hey Fighting Tigers, the Alma Mater, and Good Golly Miss Molly!! GEAUX TIGAHS!!!

Was born into it, my brother went there and tutored Chris Jackson, and it was my plan to go there until my dad died my jr year of HS. Then I decided to stay closer to home at Nicholls.

Thinking about taking an online course just to say I was a student

Like many others, I grew up LSU. I remember looking at programs my dad brought home, remembering many names and numbers, like Bert Jones, Jimmy Ladoo, Al Coffee, etc... I don't remember them all anymore, but going and seeing them in the field was so surreal. I remember Dad picking my brother and me up from school and taking us to a JV game, which was among the most cherished days of my childhood. Standing on the street as the band marched in to the stadium was my inspiration to play the drums. My dad and I would listen to the games in the radio when working on Saturdays, and I remember the last time LSU faced Bear Bryant and beat him, we were listening and trying to work over in Natchez. I don't take it so deeply personal any more, but I used to be hurt for days when LSU lost, and that was far too often many years. I just love college football, and the fall in general because of my Tigers!

One of eleven siblings and could not afford LSU. Sang the LSU fight song at every McNeese game I attended.

I became an instant fan hearing stories of my father’s stories of stopping at every bar between LC and BR back in the days before I10 was complete. Went on the tour at 10 or 12

Named after an LSU ball player, uncle ran Broussard Hall during Dietzel and Charlie Mac days, raised on a steady diet of all things LSU my entire life, made tons of memories going to campus with pops as a kid meeting athletes and being immersed in what I still see as a very very special place in America. I seriously don’t know how I could not have gotten an allegiance to LSU.

My grandfather was born in Alexandria, my dad in new Iberia but moved to mississippi when he was young. Listen on WWL but my grandfather took him to big ones. Maravich breaking the record, bama in 69, Notre Dame. When I was born there was only one team. Saw Todd walker in pinstripes in 93 then my first game against Ole miss in tiger stadium and was hooked. Before 97 we just went to whatever game my dad could get tickets to.
1997 my dad asked hunting or football, I chose football and my love for the tigers grew as we’d travel the south to games. 5 hours for a home game. I think he almost went broke but it was worth every penny! I took him to bama basketball last year.

Born and raised in LA and I'm a lifer.

All due respect to the Honey Badger but if we could bring back any player from SEC history I'd probably lean more toward Reggie White or Derrick Thomas. Having TM7 again would be amazing obviously but this defense could use a big time pass rusher right now.
