Pay attention. In these rare cases, the agents have communicated each and every demand the coach and agent want. (And, if married, what the wife and kids want).
That is called negoatiating and if you don't think it involves the current school youre a fricking moron.
I am amazed you aren't aware that this goes on.
Because several major episodes of similar events have happened directly involved LSU in the last 2 years.
Herman's agent used LSU to get Texas to up their offer.
Aranda agent went back to LSU and got him another 600K on top of year old contract that made him the the highest paid assistant in college football.
Raymond got a raise after flirting with UGA.
Where was A&M's 15% sweetener?
You're fake insider act is one of the worst things about you as a poster. I am not an insider, and i can point out multiple situations where you're absolutely wrong.

Yeah, he is going to do his job whether it is long term or not. I hope they can keep pot sweet enough for him to stay.

More are most likely afraid that he will be around.

Is that the ONLY type of deal that gets made? No. Of course not. But your insistence that a back-and-forth, hem-and-haw, take-your-time kinda negotiation is the ONLY type that occurs is just plain silly.

I see no reason to worry about Brady leaving next year. IMO he likes LSU and if he is half smart he knows he needs a little more seasoning than being than an expert in a passing game. He also knows he has a big future at LSU. In turn LSU people like Brady and know what he is worth and if he earns a big increase in salary he will get it.

Obviously money is extremely important but that being equal (or close to it), uprooting and starting a job like this all over again to implement a system is a pain in the arse. Plus I think he is pumped about the caliber of WR has right now in its system. He can be OC next year, make great money for a 30 year old, and cultivate his resume on his system in place over a few years. Why leave?

I don't even know what youre talking abotu.
Do schools give people raises so they stay longer? Sure. of course.
Does that have to happen week 2? probabyl not. I have never heard of anyone getting a raise in the first 2 weeks of a job.

Even in your weir d"take it or leave it" scenario you admit the agent is talking to the school. I am sure sometimes they come to an agreement pretty quickly, but this isn't Florida Hiring a guy from mid major. This is trying to poach a prized assistant from a program that pays their assistants.

Guys... I don't think its just our opponents spreading these things. You have to think about some of the ignorant people out there in our fan base. I watched 30 minutes of Paul Finebaum today and some old hag (who I assume has nothing better to do than sit around and do this) who was from Louisiana called in and asked Paul "Hey Paul I heard people saying Joe Brady may not be at LSU next year, is that true?" Like he was completely clueless. And I believe wanted an honest Yes or No answer like it was possibly a sure thing. Where do they find these people?! and why is he spreading that shite on national radio/TV?
Posted on 9/13/19 at 3:37 am to tigerintexas777
Here is the truth. You cant hide the guy. His name is on the lips of every CFB analyst on every tv show and radio station in the country. Dude is shite hot right now. LSU has to keep this guy. If he wants OC next year give it to him. Cuz believe someone else will.

Yeah, I mean, who wouldn't believe you that this is all determined by Esminger.
LSU threw 39 times and ran 29 times against Texas. Do you think LSU's "passing game coordinator " called the 29 running plays against Texas and the 33 running plays against Georgia Southern? If Best Buy installed my new state-of-the art 80" HDTV last February and the technician showed me how all the features worked, do you think I need him come over every Saturday in the fall and tell me which games I might enjoy viewing that particular day?

He's running a Top 5 offense and getting paid what? $450,000?
While salaries in this industry do get inflated, think about what you just said. The guy is in his 20s and making much more than the vast majority of this board. He's not hurting for money. His insane payday is coming. No reason to get impatient.

LSU? Or some super aggressive program who will pay top-dollar TODAY. Will Brady be 100% available if LSU makes the playoffs? Or splitting his time between LSU and recruiting at some other program.
I hope LSU keeps Brady and Ensminger together, and gives them "Aranda" money.

If he got a 2 million dollar TODAY then his agent would then contact LSU and see if they can offer 2.1. It's not like some team is going to come in and snatch him without a fight.

I think E will either outright retire or take an analyst position at the end of the year, which would allow LSU to promote Brady and open a spot so he can bring someone in to assist with the offense.

This should be Lsu’s plan as you’ve written here . SE is over the hill and not in tune with today’s offensive strategy. Thank you Steve for your dedication, but it’s time to move on .

quote:Yes. It is EXACTLY that. It is one of the MOST common negotiation tactics in all levels of businesses. i.e., "Here is our signed offer with EVERYTHING you asked for... but we WILL NOT get into a bidding war. AND, we have a deal right now, or the offer is immediately withdrawn."
It's not like some team is going to come in and snatch him without a fight

Oh look, the non-LSU fan wishcasting that a coach will be hired away.

And I am NOT pimping for O to be fired and Aranda to replace him... like YOU are.

You realize that any deal done now could be bought out and he could go where ever he wants anyway at the end of the season?
Your concern trolling has reached bizarre levels

But, you knew that, right?

Its been 2 games. Im not saying Brady isn't great, but a lot of the credit goes to having a really good senior QB. If he can do the same with Brennan next year, then pay him whatever it takes.
