We have to face fact that the place to watch amateur sports are High schools…Everyone else is getting paid! We may not love the idea but what are we going to do about it?

I’m not mad at Wade but I’m upset at what college athletics has become.

Make no mistake, these kids who play for Alma mater U anywhere deserved to be able to make money off of jersey sales, autograph signings, personal appearances, etc and realistic revenue sharing.

Traditional college sports has disappeared. It’s now just athletic clubs sponsored by universities. It’s still entertaining but at least some connection between the athlete and school is riding off into the sunset.

So, I don’t blame Wade. He’s doing what he’s being paid to do. He’s working the non-system of ambiguous rules in the Wild West.

I think it’s probably just us older guys who’ve become jaundiced from the present and coming landscape of college sports.

Everything you said is all a play off of this...

boot up

1.a request to engage in fisticuffs 2.to acknowledge a physical challenge (fight) synonym - knuckle up; usually yelled in the club to someone that is acting like they want to fight.
(phrase originated in night clubs in New Orleans in the early 90's)
1.Boot up or shut up!
2. You betta boot up or everybody is gonna think you a pussy.

they wouldn't fold. it would be like real madrid and Juventus. the big teams would survive fine. we don't need a link to a school.

He is doing what he needs to do to get Basketball back competitive quickly using the extent of the rules that are available. He knows and has said that this will not be allowed next year so take advantage of it while you can.

They’ll be around for a while. You just find a court to issue an injunction and drag it out.

NCAA is one of the most worthless organizations.

I think NCAA going pro is going to kill some interest

I don't know what the path is for them in this hybrid world. NCAA is going professional and the professional leagues are better

I see a post that Wade signed a 19 yr old Croatian. I dont have heartburn with 19 yr olds. It is the 23+ that I dont think fit my brain.

Moscona and Ruffino are 2 "baseball bros" that have this RIDICULOUS FANTASY that baseball needs to stay second in line among the fan base, and funded that way at LSU.

They loved McMahon because they hate or at least don't care at all about men's basketball, and he had LSU firmly planted in the gutter, and they certainly didn't want Wade to dig us out from it. I believe it's as simple as that.

I'm so happy that we've got real men in charge now that are properly aligning the 2 major sports with the funding (particularly NIL) that they deserve.

We're about to experience unprecedented (at LSU), sustained success in the 2 majors that will bring us notoriety we've never had before, and I can't wait.

Ole Miss Alumnus Judge from Mississippi.

Just get an LSU Alumnus Judge from Louisiana for our guys.

yep, college sports has been destroyed. I feel almost zero emotional attachment to our teams anymore.

People are still butthurt about almost literally nothing.

His job (IN ITS ENTIRETY) is to get the best 15 players he can and win as many games as he can with them.

Period. Full stop.
