We would have been much better off that year without Ben Simmons. Jones basically threw a guy who earned it, TQ, on the back burner for a guy who was committed only to himself. Chemistry was absolutely wrecked on day one.
The one good thing about Simmons is that he freed us from Johnny Jones.

Glad to see Ronald Dupree getting some love in here. Dude is one of the most underrated players in SEC history. He was absolutely robbed by the All-SEC selections 3 years in a row.
He's also a genuinely nice guy who could not have represented LSU better.

He was comical at times, especially at the free throw line, but far from my least favorite.
How is the answer anyone but Lester Earl? Ben Simmons a very distant second.

shaq of course. might be my favorite player even if I had no connection to LSU. is the most powerfully destructive athletic force maybe of all time. the power and size and athleticism is otherworldly. nothing else like it before or since.

Fav: Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (C.J.) I firmly believe he was one of the best college basketball players ever...and a very good person. Yes, I knew him. My +1 would be Lyle Mouton ( he was a two sport stud in college name the others and you will see my point.)
Least Fav: This is tough because I bleed P & G and tend to forgive, but Ben Simmons was very hard to pull for.

Fave: Skylar Mays bc I knew him off the court. That dude worked his arse off to get to the NBA but also has the intellect to go to Med School. Great man of character.
