I am excited at the return of a LSU attacking defense. Let's the blitzing from all areas begin Coach Pelini.

I'm ready for the Angry Panini. Edge rushers screaming to the QB and blitzes from all over.

Me. I’ve gotten tired of opponents moving liberally between the 20s. I’d rather attack with the risk that comes with it

I think in today’s game you have to take the risk. Otherwise, teams can dink and dunk at will on you and the good teams will score. You can’t have the best offense in college history every year to come out on top every time

With a [finally] revamped offense a Pelini style defense is just right.

Yeah, it'll result in some scores on us; but hey, Plumlee ran wild anyway. At least when we get TOs, and there will be more, we do something more than 3-n-out and 1:05 off the clock.

I love Pelini but Aranda schemed like an NFL DC. He was legit.

Yeah. If O hasn’t jumped on his arse last year, Aranda would have schemed us out of a National Championship

Did you play for LSU?
Do you know what a solid base scheme vs stunt/blitz call does to the front 7?

I prefer pelini’s attacking style to Aranda’s but that’s no knock on Aranda.

I’m hoping Pelini has progressed with his D to be a base 4-3, but mix in 4-2-5 and even some 7DB sets like Venables. It’s about giving different looks and confusing the QB and O Line. The game has changed since 2007.

As a matter of fact I do know about defense. You clearly didn’t watch any games this year. Did you know that Arandas defenses got worse every year he was here? No, of course you didn’t.

Aranda’s D after the Ole Miss game was a completely different animal. They corrected some major tackling issues. It wasn’t about the scheme.
