Football-2001
We had a lot of great teams over the years but the 2001 team was my favorite. It was a fun year even though we didn’t win a championship. We just signed a monster recruiting class and Rohan davey to josh Reed was a highlight show. I loved the one two punch of Labrandon toefield and Dominic Davis at running back. Defense was nasty with Bradie James and Trev Faulk being the leaders on that side of the ball. We won our first sec title since they made the two divisions and we ruined tennessee’s chance to play Miami in the rose bowl. We played in the sugar bowl in New Orleans and was basically a home game. We had some bumps early in the year but we kept fighting and got better as the year went on. Also tiger stadium was rocking every game and nick saban made LSU football fun again after the end of the dark days of dinardo’s era.

Basketball-1999-2000
Just like football this was a fun season going deep in the ncaa tournament after going through probation from the end of the dale brown era. We had stromile swift and Jabari smith with some thunder dunks. We also beat number one Arizona and we beat the shite out of them at home. It was fun seeing LSU dominate everybody in the western division by 20 points at least once. The game against auburn to determine who won the sec West was a battle and we win a close one on the road. I never thought I see LSU basketball back like that after all the scholarships we lost and how terrible we were.

Baseball-1997
Guerrilla ball guerrilla ball guerrilla ball! That was a hell of a season and the best part was dominating Alabama for the championship. LSU will never have those kind of players again. Those players were special and is my favorite skip Bergman team. Eddie Furness and Brandon Larson were my favorite players on the team. The lineup from top to bottom was unreal with great pitching.

The 06 final four run was probably the most fun I had in college.

2006 was a hell of a year and we could have been like Florida winning both in football and basketball that year.

Yeah the ending sucked, but that was by far the funnest team to watch.

Basketball-89/90
Probably nostalgia, but Shaq and Chris Jackson on the same team.

Baseball 97
Same reasons you listed. Bombs. Plus had to double dip South Alabama just to get out of the regional. Lost to Bama in SEC Tourney, only to beat the piss out of them in the CWS finals.

Football: 2011
Basketball: 2006
Baseball: 2009

Honorable mention for basketball this past year. Watching how Wade was able to do that in year two after arguably the worst season in program history was nothing short of incredible. Also, the games against UK, Auburn, Tennessee, and Maryland were flat out awesome.

2006 had better results obviously, but the past season was incredible when you consider where we were before Wade and where we’re at two years into his tenure.

Baseball- 2008
I’m aware the title was in 09 but 2008 was a crazy post season. Won the super regional in the final game ever played at the old box by crushing UC Irvine. But the game two 9th inning comeback was insane. Then another 9th inning comeback against Rice. But we got a taste of our medicine when UNC beat us in the 9th.

Also destroying Texas in game 3 of the CWS was awesome too.

Football 2011: Honey Badger should have won Heisman and this team was fun to watch!

Basketball 1989-1990: Shaq and CJ on the same team was fun to watch!

Baseball 1997: 9 players with double digit HRs and Larson had 40!

Football 2011 - the greatest regular season in college football history.

Basketball 2006 - that team was made of a bunch of Baton Rouge guys that grew up together and you could tell. I remember that tournament run and it was a blast.

Baseball - 2017 - That postseason even tho they came up short was a lot of fun. The Deichmann homerun in the Rice win to advance to Supers. Game 1 comeback in the super regionals. Game one comeback in Omaha. Getting blown out by Oregon State only to bounce back and beat them twice in a row. That team had 6 losses all year and 2 of them were to LSU on back to back days. Hess becoming wild thing, Gilbert heroics, Poche breaking the all time wins record, Lange being great, Pap hitting bombs. It was a fun ride

Football: 2001 I was fortunate enough to be a senior at LSU during the 2001 football season. To watch LSU go from the dreadful 98-99 seasons to win the SEC the way we did in 2001, out of nowhere, was absolutely incredible.

Basketball: 2006. Never thought I'd see LSU in the final four.

Baseball: 1997. This team was so good, they changed the rules for college baseball.

Football 2011- senior year. Just got dumped from a 4 year relationship. Probably got a little overly invested in that team but it was a fricking ride. Horrible ending but up till the championship the best football experiences of my life.

Baseball 2009- Freshmen year. Still some of my favorite players.

Basketball 2018-2019- absolutely the first year I have been this excited for LSU basketball in a long time. So much passion so many wild finishes. bullshite at the end but we actually made a sweet 16 and lived up to a lot of hype.

That year was magical for me. I called the National Championship that year after going to Fan Day and watching Mauck throw after having been injured the previous year and he was just different. There was just an air about that team. Then the UGA game happened and it felt like fate. Still hard to believe we let UF and their freshman QB come in and get us at home that year... I was able to go to the Ole Miss game that year and was right behind the LSU bench down near the field. Went with my wife the SECG game in Atlanta, and ultimately got tickets for the NCG in the Dome. I was standing next to T3 (one of the owners of Tiger Roar back then...no idea if Tim is still there now) and I remember hugging him like a baby when we'd won! Winning another title in 2007 was great, and that run in 2011 was incredible...but in 2003 it was the culmination of all the hopes and dreams I'd had for the program form 1982 when I first started following the program religiously as a 12 year old through all the hard times.

Football: 2007. I was still a kid but I started to get into college football around the 2003 natty and 2007 sealed my love for college football. That was the greatest year ever in college football and on top of it, my team won it all.

Baseball: 2009. First natty from LSU that I can remember but that team was fun as hell to watch and that team was loaded on top of beating my dads Alma mater in the title game.

Basketball: 2006. Only really great LSU basketball team I’ve been around. That run to the final 4 was fun as hell to watch
