I have a feeling that his players don't like playing for him and the assistant coaches don't like working for him."

This isn't remotely good enough. Come with proof or keep your feelings to yourself.

Kelly is awesome on the sideline. I love it.

Dude is legit Top5 coach/CEO in CFB.

I’m very excited about the future of LSU football under Kelly. Program is in the process of becoming a monster again. 2025-2027 is gonna be fun! Everyone should buckle up for the ride.

All aspects of the program are firing under Kelly (with help from Woodward). I honestly have never seen a college CEO (outside of Saban of course) anywhere close to Kelly’s meticulous and calculating level. It’s probably why Saban feels so strongly about Kelly’s abilities.

That said, I still expect a few speed bumps along the way this particular season as we continue to build the defensive roster and work through the complete rebuild on that side of the ball, but nonetheless the future is bright for the program no doubt

Has LSU even been ranked in the top 5 since he took over?

I still think Kelly is bringing in the right Coaches and recruits where hes going to find lightning in a bottle and win the Championship and then hes going to retire because hes tired of having to try to deal with the current makeup of College Football these days with NIL and the Transfer Portal being as big and as chaotic as it is.

Biggest thing I see is that Kelly doesn’t fully embrace that he’s at LSU. Sure he wears the colors etc., but he doesn’t put forth that “sell” that he’s all in on LSU. Bill Arnsparger is another example of a decent cerebral coach that you never felt like he was part of team “us” at LSU.

Dinardo tried, but the team just didn’t follow him. Hell they basically attempted mutiny on him because he never sold that he was part of us.

Saban was on the fence right at first, but he had such a commanding authority, (and a Natty) that we felt the “us” factor.

Les, although he was a moron, after the “Thank You Have a Nice Day” speech, felt like us. Problem was he became “our” village idiot.

The players need to believe they belong to a team. That the team is something a part of something big. They need a coach that they’ll give their everything out there on the field. Does Kelly do that? I think the jury is still out on him. He hasn’t had his moment yet, however the time for that moment is slowly slipping through his fingers.

He may be the greatest coach of all time. I thought Dinardo was fairly good at it too, but there’s an “it” factor that requires a 100 percent buy in from the team (and the fans?). I guess we’ll just have to wait and see …

I have a feeling that those who have a feeling are full of shite. Stupid opinions and feelings that shouldn't be shared.

Lol

He’s been here 2 seasons + 4 games. Took over a 40-man roster and a coaching staff and program in close-to-shambles. And HAS HAD success in those 2+ seasons even given those circumstances.

Some of you guys are funny

And sarcasm aside….to answer your question… yes we did get to #5 in YEAR1 under Kelly for a brief moment.

quote:

The No. 5 LSU Tigers (9-2) will try to avoid looking ahead to the SEC title game when they face the Texas A&M Aggies (4-7) on Saturday night. LSU has won five straight games, including a 41-10 win over UAB last week. Texas A&M snapped its six-game losing skid with a 20-3 win over UMass its last time out.

Are you implying a Top5 coach should ALWAYS be ranked in the Top5?… that’s not how it works man.

We definitely have our fair share of dumb fans at LSU.

We have one of the best coaches in CFB and some fans think he sucks. lol, it truly is amazing sometimes how dumb some people are.

I completely agree with this. That or the Louisiana sun is wearing that Northern boy out. He looks exhausted on the sideline.

You can coach players as hard as you want when you win championships. If you're going 8-4 every year that's when it becomes hard to do.

I would guess that’s why Saban retired, with the onset of NIL and mostly the transfer portal, he had seen enough.
