1991

I was at a friend's house playing/watching the game. The second LSU got the final out my friend's dad yells "get in the car, we have to go drive on campus!" The whole family is thinking WTF? The dad piles us in the back seat of his 1986 Buick, with no AC, on a hot summer day, and hauls arse to get to campus because he was convinced there would be hundreds of people running around like crazy and everyone in cars honking horns.

There weren't any...except us. He's driving like a mad-man honking his horn, tossing us around in the back seat. I got car sick and barfed...which ended our celebration.

Isn’t that crazy and awesome at the same time that 9 years is a bad drought for us

2000 because I was there for the championship.

1996 because of the iconic finish.

1997 because that team was fun as hell and I got to go to more games that year.

Love them all.

2025 - not the most talented - had holes in places but played the best when it mattered

This. ‘97 is my core LSU baseball memory. “Caught” a Brandon Larson home run ball at the box as a whippersnapper.

This team was the epitome of “supposed to win” and had a CLUTCH cast of characters.

1991.

LSU had been to the CWS in 1986, 87, 89, and 90. And not won it. It was becoming a thing. Seeing those guys like Ogea and Rios and Mouton and Hymel absolutely mow down the rest of the field was magical.

First national championship in any sport outside of track and field that I saw LSU win.

23 because the team had generational talent in several places and the 4 best teams were LSU, Wake, Florida, and Tennessee. It was awesome watching LSU single handedly eliminated the other 3 best teams. The LSU Wake elimination game was incredible, and the dam breaking in game 3 of the final started an awesome curtain call for all the stars.

1991 because it was the first even though 1996 & 1997 they could absolutely crush the ball.

They are lime your children, you love them all equally!
But
2000 was special bc I was 9 and those guys were heroes to me. The comeback against Stanford was just legendary.

2009 bc that team was a machine and had it all. Crazy that a 9 year gap seemed like an eternity. I remember getting the last out and going out in Lafayette wearing my lsu shirt with not a care in the world.

2023 bc the star power and the teams we took out in Omaha. Winning that one was such a relief bc of how darn good and talented they were plus the 14 year gap. If not then, when?

2025 feels awesome bc it feels like we’re truly the best program in the country again with no peers. Also feels like Jay is just getting started.

Probably 1997. When you're 13, nothing is more fun than watching your team blast a ton of homers. Gorilla ball

2000 was the first I remember as a kid watching with my grandfather who was on the 1938 & 1939 team.

Toss up between 2009 and 2023 for me.

2009 I was an out of state freshman. I knew LSU was rabid about football but I had no clue about baseball. I went to dang near every game that season. My parents wouldn't let me go to Omaha and I watched it alone at my house in NY going batshit crazy and I remember thinking "okay, this is why. I get it now."

2023 because I was there. I was also there in 2017 with the same buddy. This one felt like cold blooded revenge and redemption.

Those dudes were hitting on a different level that year. That double against LB might be literally the reason for the modern LSU baseball.

I only remember the 09,23, and 25.

09 was my first so it's special in its own right.

23 was the most exciting in Omaha, just seemed like Omaha was stacked that year.

25 The domination of the supers and Omaha was absolutely impressive, they made it look easy other than game 2 vs Arkansas.

I think I would have to go 2023. Taking on Tennessee, Wake Forest, and then Florida was just edge on your seat excitement.
