West Monroe has to be top 5 historically. Whitworth, Bradie James, Keke Mingo..

Tommy Banks, Luke Sanders, Adam McConathy. Peyton Todd this class and there were others that didn’t make a huge impact like Scott Mcmurray, Shomari Clemons, Paul Turner and a few others.

In the days of Saban WMHS also sent West & LeDoux to Baton Rouge (although I believe one went through MiLB and the other went through A&M).

I forgot about those two. I believe it was Brian West that ended up playing for the White Sox. You also had a starting lineman named Rodney Reed.

Looks like WM provided lots of players, many of whom underperformed or were over rated, or both.

West Monroe for football has to be up there.

From 1995 to 2011 West Monroe sent LSU the most players. Since Don Shows died, their talent has went down the tubes.

Ruston has produced some good ones. Bert Jones, Kyle Williams, Jack Hunt, I’m sure there are more I am forgetting.

Edit: I’m an idiot I didn’t see the last 20 years part.

Forgot about him. Also Will Blackwell, but he was more recent.

So to use your words, if they were “overrated”
or “underperformed” yet still started what does that say about the players they played in front of on the depth chart? Pretty sure WMHS’s “batting average” on players turning out as starters/contributors far outweighs the misses but keep taking right out of your arse.

I’ll tell ya what, that Peter Griffin looking guy from Douchetown, Benny “Butter Bean” Saia, urged guys not to go to LSU. Seems like the same thing is happening at U-High now.

Shaw also gave LSU Tory James, and later as a coach, Mickey Joseph.

But since we are adding Westbank schools, I'll add my Marrero team:

John Ehret:
Darrell Williams
Drake Nevis
Michael Divinity
Lamin Barrow
Donte Starks
Norman Jefferson(80's)
Leonard Valentine (80's)
(non-LSU Bonus: Reggie Wayne, Kordell Stewart)

West Jefferson in Harvey also gave LSU Garry James, Larry Foster and Marlon Favorite.

This is not true at all. Lloyd Cushenberry and Eric Reid came to LSU. Can’t blame Coach Saia for Landon Collins and Eddie Lacey going to Alabama. They’re a rival, but that’s not exactly a bad business decision.

I think this is a great thread, not sure why you got so many downvotes.

One football school that I haven’t seen mentioned is Southern Lab. It’s the leading contributor of current players with 3:
- TDP
- Kardell Thomas
- Damone Clark

Others:
- Marcus Spears
- Chad Jones

Overall though, I think St. Aug, John Ehret, and Destrehan are at the top.

Don't forget back in the day, same era from the Westbank, from Shaw: Mickey Guidry, Ryan Clark, Ignatius NACHO Albergamo, Ron Sancho. Another west banker was Sammy Martin
