I’m optimistic about next year with MVB with some chemistry with the WRs, a more suitable playbook, and an OL that can’t be any worse.

Team discipline and issues with pre-snap penalties will show up no matter who you are playing until it’s corrected.

Exactly. Northwestern St was at the bottom of the Southland, Alcorn was a middle of the pack SWAC team. They lost by 3 points on the road.

Not necessarily the outcome, but there are things I’ll be looking for. Can the defense play an entire game without looking lost and confused? Is the OL and DL firing off the ball? Is the QB making good decisions? We won’t be able to tell how much the team has improved by playing a lesser opponent, but I just want to see some focus and effort, the opponent can’t effect that.

Consider better sources of news. If this was true, it would be celebrated on the left leaning sites.
This is not true at all. Lloyd Cushenberry and Eric Reid came to LSU. Can’t blame Coach Saia for Landon Collins and Eddie Lacey going to Alabama. They’re a rival, but that’s not exactly a bad business decision.
