BK is another story, but we all thought that was a big time hire we stole from Notre Dame and that was (is) market for big time coaches. It just didn't work out because Kelly decided to coast. He's been a workaholic his entire career and that stopped with the big check I guess.

No all of us did not think it was a big time hire. A lot of us thought it was a stupid hire and we were correct

I think many ND fans would disagree with him being a workaholic his entire career. What we thought were sour grapes ended up being true.

I am so tired of this fabrication. He wanted O’Sullivan from Florida and he got turned down. How hard is it to sell LSU baseball anyways? We’ve led the nation in attendance for over 20+ years and had six national championships when he got here. Stop giving that fat slob credit for that.
Amen. Stephanie Rempe hired Jay. F Fat Scott

Also, Baylor couldn't wait to get rid of that pain in the arse.

Those of you who thought Skip was a bad AD are just stupid, wrong, or both.

Yeah, he raised ticket prices, but he had to in order to compete.

His first act as AD was to go up and down the athletic building and get rid of Joe Dean's cronies and he trimmed a lot of that fat. Dean left a mess and Skip cleaned it up.

He went to all of the coaches and asked them what they needed to be successful and he by and large got it for them. Many coaches have said that Skip was the best AD they worked for at LSU.

He cared for women's sports and wanted to help them. Dean hated women's sports.

Skip knew enough "money" people from baseball to help him raise funds for the general athletic department.

I have no idea what Skip did to some of you such that you think he was a bad AD

Like it or not, under his watch he hired

Jay Johnson GOAT
Kim Mulkey, A hall of famer
Jay Clark

With an unlimited checkbook, who can't do this? The amount of money he flushed down the shitter was unreal.

It's not like he went out and found some unknowns. He went after big names. Anyone can do that.

He has a history of bad hires everywhere he has been. Save the talk about the championships in sports nobody knows existed.

McMahon was not a bad contract. This is bullshite hindsight.

Giving a coach a 7 year contract isn't bad?

If he gave a normal fricking contract McMahon would be up at the end of this year

Well I mean I can do that too with Woodward. Woody hired a 2 time national championship winning baseball coach and a national championship winning women’s basketball coach. Alleva still didn’t know what the hell he was doing most of the time and mishandled way more situations than event a decent AD should. There was a reason Duke canned Alleva before LSU took him for some reason.

And yet even he could still hire a NC winning football coach and a SEC champion basketball coach unlike Woodward.

Makes you wonder what ole Scott was doing when he couldn’t even come close to replicating Allevas success.

I mean it’s Joe friggin Alleva

Alleva is the worst AD LSU has had in my lifetime and by a pretty wide margin.
Yes, but there's strong competition for that title.

Have you ever heard of that "String Music" guy and the famous "Old Indian word that means Trailer Park" guy?

Dean hired Mike Archer over Steve Spurrier and Bertman hired Laval, let Saban walk away without putting up a fight and went severely cheap on the new Alex Box.

Spending all that money on WBB is also a huge mistake. Mulkey was not a good move

….ok?

All we have is their accomplishments. I judge off of the money makers.

Alleva hired a NC winning football coach and an SEC champion men’s basketball coach.

Woodward…… I guess I get why you are trying to change the conversation….
