IMO we’d have at least tried to throw deep and possibly be 2-0. Most likely we’d still be 1-1 but we’d have looked a lot better in the win cuz again, we’d have taken some deep shots and scored more points.

2-0. Myles would have easily not missed the TD throws to Palmer and Boutte

Fact

He opens up the field too, something Max cannot do.

I agree I feel we would be better but I also feel we would still be 1-1, and if our guys were not ready to play UCLA that's on the coaches.

Agreed, LSU wasn't winning the game unless they could figure out a way stop UCLA from running the ball.

He moves in the pocket much better than Max, and steps up to AVOID pressure.

Really? Okay then explain why Myles couldn't convert a third or fourth down last season, even with Marshall and Gilbert? The only logical explanation from watching him last season is Myles couldn't handled the third down packages because again, he lacks mobility and crumbles under pressure.

Meanwhile, had he played against UCLA, he would have faced more pressure than he had ever faced in his career. Which would mean the UCLA margin of victory would have inevitably been greater than what it was.

So dumb. LINK

Yeah right. Speaking of dumb, you are claiming that Myles Brennan is somehow a great QB when his only victory in his entire freaking career was a victory over a winless Vanderbilt team. Which, for all all intents and purposes, is really a weak FCS team.

Meanwhile, he lost to Moo State and a Missou team with half its defense missing due to Covid protocols and when he choked with a first and goal to goal from the one yard line. That has to be one of the biggest chokes ever in SEC history.

I mean, Myle's career at LSU couldn't be anymore embarrassing. Yet, in your mind he is better than Joe Burrow.

Well, although Myles isn’t as mobile, he still would have gotten the ball out faster with better reads, which offsets slower mobility and would have hit Palmer for the TD, which could have taken some of the blitzes away. He would have pushed the ball downfield more. For those who think he wouldn’t have done any better than Johnson, they are fooling themselves.

All anyone has to do is look at the video you posted to see how big a gap there is between the two QBs if they couldn’t already see the obvious. It’s not even close.

They ran a couple of drags that Johnson didn’t read and check down to, but you’re right, I think Myles hits some things that takes the blitz away.

In 2020, Brennan had more yards in fewer attempts and a higher % completion than Johnson. And those were in games where the entire team was still in a fire drill mode.

Notice the difference in how they each handle the pressure as well. Brennan has people all over him but he stands tall in there climbs the pocket, step slides and delivers the ball on time and with accuracy. Max panics, bails or runs backwards, which I’ve never seen before, and gets himself into all kinds of trouble. It’s night and day between the 2 and anyone still claiming Max is better is only doing so because they made those claims all summer and just don’t wanna admit they were wrong.

The way our OL blocks he probably would have gotten maimed in the first game anyway.

We'd be 1-1 and everyone would be complaining about the same thing.

Couldn’t block last year either but he still put up 39ppg which would have us 2-0.
