Where would this team be right now if the rally possum never ran onto the field?

Would we still have had the late season surge? We most likely wouldn't have been a national seed and might be on the road right now. Who knows...

Baton Rouge clearly would have slipped into the Mississippi.

Probably in the offseason.
Would have gone 1-2 in Florida State's Regional.

They would be where they are IMO. The schedule played perfectly for instilling confidence in pitching and at the plate. They needed a belief that they could win and the time to gel from a chemistry perspective. The ole miss and MSU series have them hope in their ability. It took Arky, and, Tenn and UF without their best hitter to make them believe. I thought our early season schedule really hurt us as far as prep for the SEC, but as it turns out Tulane and others were very good teams that helped us improve.
The coaches did an outstanding job of putting pressure on the opponent and even with the outs at home, was the right way to handle this team.

Same place they are now, but we'd be crediting a sudden rainstorm, a broken bat, or a chicken's liver.

We should give him a scholly and put him in the outfield. Oh wait he has a GED from Arkansas and his parents are from Alabama. He is toast. We could make him a groundskeeper. Waddya think??

That's bs those saying same spot as now. There is something to superstitions, especially in baseball. If it makes the players believe and gives them something to rally around, its real.

It also re energized the fans. It became a thing over night and everyone got into it at a time when a lot of people were down on this team

No point in speculating. It's been a lot of fun so far. Just relax and enjoy the ride.

The team would be in the same damn place they are right now. I can't be the only one who thinks this stuff is dumb.

Rally possum is fun to talk about, but the question is does this team think about that possum when they're batting or pitching?
