Where does the general “knowledge” come from concerning alleva leaving later this year?

In other words, I read quips about how he won’t be here, folks posting lists of potential replacements. Is it founded info or just folks spouting off?

I think he's in his mid 60's and his contract is expiring. add almost a new BOS to deal with and the pressure cooker that is LSU could very well add up to him sayin' "frick this; i'm goin' to the house".
that's if he doesn't get squeezed out; esp if we have a poor football season.

It's not so much wins and loses, it's season ticket sales and donations. With tradition fund payments due March 31, the BOS will have plenty of time to evaluate things before having to extend his contract or let it expire.

The theory is that if Orgeron is not successful, Alleva will be fired first because he is tied to the hip with the Orgeron hire. But nobody on this board knows exactly what will happen.

Alleva will not be leaving until O leaves...and that will be no sooner than the end of 2020 barring some kind of freakish meltdown on the football field.

Hell the wife and I went had a few drinks at superior starting at 430 yes we are old (40ish) afterwards we decided to go check out “campus” and see mike. I pulled in and parked right in alleva’s spot like a Baw! If a simple man like me can park in his spot at 7 pm on a Friday he must be on his way out! FYI mike was pleasantly resting, and he campus really looks in tip top shape!

I don't dislike Alleva as much as others, but as long as the LSU president and the governor of Louisiana aren't all in for LSU football, a new AD won't get much love either.
