I know they have a plan, but part of it is that they're going to throw as many arms at a game as needed to secure a win. I just don't like higher usage rates, back to backs, etc. These are things that can become cumulative arm issues. It's what they do in the majors, but those guys are older (and it still is pretty much a meat grinder).

Our team has improved every series. We are not the same team. I like our chances against any team in the country in a best of 3 series.

I still think we host a regional and have a real shot at getting out of the Supers.

LSU doesn’t have: Frontline shut down starter; team speed is lacking; can’t steal bases or move runners over; poor infield defense and range.

I disagree on team speed, inability to move runner, and inability to steal. We don't steal because we don't want to risk outs when the chances of the next hit being extra bases is over 50%. The reason to steal is that you want your runner in scoring position, but when you slug 50% first base is scoring position. Same with moving runners over.

This weekend will say alot. They finally put 2 weekends of good baseball together. Now, they go on the road (which hasn't been a bad thing) to play a team gasping for air. Need 2/3. I know everybody wants the sweep, and that would be great, but you have put together another 2. That would put us at 14 wins (7-2 in the last 9!) heading into the final 6.

Losing a Super on the road.

I think we go 5-4 rest of SEC play. Gets us to 17-13 SEC play.

End up 5th. Play on Tuesday in SECT, win, then do whatever rest of week.

Get a home regional, around the 14th seed, pair up against a 3 overall seed.

I do NOT see the fielding issues being fixed. Just depends on when they decide to flare up again.

I would like to see us play our way up to at least the 12 line. I think the that is a very favorable area for regionals and supers. 5-12 is the sweet spot.

I think Supers are very realistic. Cleanup the defense SIGNIFICANTLY (I’m looking at you Thompson and whoever is behind the plate not named Milazo) and you’ve got a chance if you pull a favorable opponent.

Kind of makes you want to vomit knowing Thompson cost you at least 5 games and 2 series this year.

The defense is too poor to make a consistent run against top-notch competition, especially when there's no Nola-type pitcher to hold the opponent to 1 or 2 runs.

Being available isn't the same as being effective. It's happened multiple times this year. A guy has to throw back-to-back days or even 3 times a weekend, and by that 2nd or 3rd game they don't look the same. It has worked most of the time, but when it doesn't it can screw up a weekend.

I think if we make a super I will be reasonably content with the outcome of JJ’s first season

I would be happier to win a super. I mean there are 4 "first round" talents on this team. We have underachieved IMO. Large portion of that of course is due to errors.

True but we are fortunate in that the only core pieces we for sure lose next year are Berry, Fontenot, and Hilliard.

Our pitching is very young and will continue to improve during JJ’s tenure I’m sure

I would say just making a super with a roster with as many holes as this one in his first year would be a pretty big accomplishment for JJ. Recently though some of those holes don’t seem as big as I thought they would be though so maybe I should be expecting more

We will lose Cade doughty also

And to be talking about hosting instead of hoping to make the tourney in the 1st of may is a breath of fresh air compared to last year.
