No. My message is specific. Saying you need to coach better is coach speak for shut up, we know what we’re doing and we’re not changing a thing and the players just need to execute better

You realize this is the same fricking thing as saying we need to coach better?
Not really, all of those things have been happening all year and continue to happen.

"I was wrong about our QB situation. We have to be successful at passing the ball and we haven't been. We're going to try Nuss as a spark. I was also wrong about my OC pick. I've learned the SEC isn't the American Athletic Conference and that type of offense is unproductive."
"Oh, one more thing, we have to do a better job coaching."

It doesn’t matter what he says, idiots will say it is not enough.

NFLU is right. What is coach Kelly suppose to say. He’s being honest with us fans, reporters, administration. The man is giving credit to the players on our team when things work and laying blame on the entire coaching staff when things go wrong. This is a good man and a good coach. The man wants to win, the players want to win, the administration want the coach and players to succeed in winning Alignment in force folks. Give the process time and reap the benefits later folks. In due time we will have another NC. We have the future QB in Walker Howard and the recruiting will bring in quality players to continue to build a consistent top ten team.

That is totally irrelevant to everything that I said.
So is how much money Kelley makes. I’d be willing to bet you wouldn’t be satisfied with the response if he made $20,000.00 a year.

We need to coach better is taking the heat off his guys. He knows this team is young and isn’t going to throw them under the bus. Kelly isn’t going to give you all the access like O use to do. He will be closer to Saban, imo he has been very open in a lot of the questions.

I think you’ve got me confused with someone else. I literally said his press conference today was not impressive at all

I am not so convinced the OC is the issue . The issue is Daniels . They have dumbed everything down for him and he still can’t do it with elite receivers . Time for a change , or at least a rotation . Saban would do it .

Kelly has NEVER left a program in the shape O has.
Ever
Can you name a program that won a National Championship, the DC accepts a HC job, and the Athletic Director hires the the new DC.
Then the HC is blamed for the collapse of the team?

I would love for Nuss to get a shot but I have extreme doubts that the result would be better.
BK gives as thorough of PCs as any coach we've had in recent memory. You just don't like the answer

I’ll go with the same line used with O. “I don’t want him to say anything, just fix the problem!”

LOL> The melts on this site are hilarious. I's as is almost everyone here is 12 yrs old. What the hell do you think e rebuilding year looks like? Why the hell do you think most were predicting 8-4 or 7-5. But because your predictions aren't coming true somehow he's failed?I can criticize the coaching without having a temper tantrum. I'm also going to allow a learning curve for him this year. Do you not see what he is building with this OLine? A reasonable person would expect those records and then expect improvement from yr 1 to yr 2 and then in yr 3 we should be competing for championships. Anything better now would be gravy. Lets see what happens the next 2 games and then make some criticisms but bottom line he gets a pass the first year until he has the players and coaches he wants and needs. I'm not talking about criticisms. I'm talking about judgements. I can criticize him for not finding a place on the field for #40. That should never happen again. But I don't think he is an idiot and should be fired. Now if he doesn't learn from the mistakes then that's another conversation.
Posted on 10/10/22 at 6:45 pm to WDAIII
Why are y'all so hung up on 10 mil/yr. Do you pay it? If he made only 2 mil you'd be happy with the results? It's a stupid and irrelevant point to keep bringing up.

He was asked how that actually happens with his coaches. He avoided answering the question.
He needs to tell us what he is going to do, what we are going to do to get better in several areas. Not just we have to coach better. That covers a lot of territory. For 10 million a year, he had better start finding some answers fast and implementing them.

He doesn’t have to tell us shite. What are you going to do other than bitch?

Ever listen to other coach press conferences? They all do that!

You sound like an entitled little brat. He doesn’t need to tell us anything. Those conversations are for him, his staff, and his boss.

need to have a better response than “we need to coach better”
While I would love to hear specifics of issues that need to be addressed, the man can’t throw players under the bus. He’s not going to throw staff under the bus to us. No first year coach can do either of those things publicly.
