I know it's a random question, but I couldn't find any info. I have followed the team since 2003 faithfully and cannot remember a game.

I can't remember the last time Wisconsin played a game with snow that stuck on the field.

The really brutal, surface of Mars kinda weather doesn't typically settle into Madison until early December. The sort of weather where you buy a warm 12-pack of beer, walk five or six blocks back to your apartment and it's ice cold.

Closest thing i could find was 1947 Cotton Bowl nicknamed "Ice Bowl"

Unused to the wintry conditions, the LSU team used oil drums filled with charcoal on the sidelines as makeshift heaters

Game ended in a 0-0 tie.

Didn't it snow when they played at the independence bowl in the 90's or early 00's

Can't think of anything in 2015, but snow was sticking in the fourth quarter during Wisconsin's shellacking of Nebraska in 2014. Not sure if that's really what you were looking for, though.

That shocks me to learn this. Seems like every year I watch Illinois or some other Big 10 team going at it in the snow.

I was at that game. I don't think it ever turned to snow, but it was very cold and at one point it was raining with a mixture of sleet in there.

There were some flurries in Shreveport during the day of the 1997 Indy Bowl, but nothing that stuck to the ground. None during the game, but that was a cold sumbitch.

I think we played in an ice storm at Arky this century, but I'm not positive which year?
